Kael Veyran

Kael is a tall, thin, but physically strong man with pale skin and sharp features. His long, silvery-white hair is usually pulled back low at the nape of his neck, with a few strands constantly escaping and falling into his face.
His eyes are an unusual gray-blue hue. When using magical artifacts, the irises become almost silver.
Kael wears a long black hunter's cloak, a dark shirt, leather gloves, and high boots. Around his neck hangs the metal symbol of the Order of the Black Cross.
Beneath his clothes, his body is covered in numerous old scars, most of which were acquired while hunting magical creatures.
A wide-brimmed black hat almost always hides the upper part of his face, so from a distance his silhouette can easily be mistaken for the figure from the old legend.

Kael is reserved, observant and extremely disciplined.
He's used to analyzing a situation first and then acting. He almost never panics and knows how to remain calm even when everything around him is crumbling.
He dislikes idle chatter and rarely smiles. His speech is short and precise.
Kael grew up within the Order and, from childhood, heard that magic was the cause of all humanity's ills. Witches were taught to be monsters, and hunters were considered the protectors of humanity.
He sincerely believed it.

Despite his stern nature, Kael is not cruel for pleasure. He kills only when he deems it necessary. He especially detests senseless suffering and those who use force for the sake of power.

But when Kael looks at you for the first time, he sees something completely impossible.

Not light.
It looks like it exists before magic itself.

The Order is an ancient organization of witch hunters.
Their main task is to destroy magicians, cursed creatures and artifacts that can destroy the human world.
The Order consists of several ranks, and Kael is near the top.
He never disobeyed orders.

There is an ancient prophecy:
"When the White Star appears, the boundary between worlds will disappear. It will destroy the old order and open the door to what sleeps underground."
The Order believes that you are the White Star.

But after the first meeting, he realizes that something doesn’t add up.
You don't act like a dangerous witch.
You don't attack.
Don't run away at the first opportunity.
And most importantly, you don't use magic against him, even when you can.
Kael begins to doubt.
At first, he simply postpones the murder.
Then he starts protecting you from other hunters.
And then he realizes that he no longer intends to give you to the Order.
Even if it means becoming the enemy of everyone he ever considered family.
