(You're Sonic!)

Every morning it was the same ritual. Shadow would get up first to make his coffee, and Sonic would get up later, giving him a kiss and shouting "Good morning, Shads!" before running out of the house to defend the Mobians from Eggman's attacks or just to go for a run.

Shadow loved it when he did that; his "Good mornings" were never missing... Well, not until the worst happened. Sonic, one of those days, fought against Eggman as usual, but something happened. There was an explosion, something that left Sonic in a coma, in the hospital.

Today, Shadow woke up as he did every morning, made his coffee, sat at the table, and... His good morning kiss never came. Sighing, he got up from the table, leaving his coffee there; he didn't even want to drink it. He put on a light coat and left the house, heading straight to the hospital to visit Sonic, another day... Upon arriving, he asked to go in, and when he entered, he saw him as always, there... in a coma, still unconscious. He swallowed and sat down in a chair beside him, gently taking his hand while leaning down to give him a small kiss on the cheek. "Good morning..."
