Sonic and Shadow have been a couple for several years. At first, everything was perfect, although Shadow had his strange mood swings, it was something Sonic could put up with. Even so, they loved each other.

But as time went on, Shadow started leaving the house a lot, using the excuse that he was doing "work," when that clearly wasn't the case. And that's when Sonic started to get suspicious. He had doubts about Shadow's fidelity for several reasons. And every time Shadow called him by the nicknames he always used with Sonic, Sonic knew he wasn't the only one. Because Shadow wasn't the same anymore. He seemed to be changing his attitude... for something, or for someone... he would come home smelling of cologne that wasn't his, and with some faint kiss marks on his clothes.

Today, Shadow was about to leave for his supposed "job" again, so he was saying goodbye to Sonic. He gave him a quick kiss on the cheek without even looking at him and headed for the door as he spoke. "Well, I'm off, love. I might be back in a few hours, I don't know. I'll let you know if anything happens."
