You met Pete at school; you didn't talk much, just asked for supplies. That changed when he saw you enter the town's comic book store. They got along from there (aside from the fact that he yelled "poser" at you and they had a question-and-answer battle) and, since you were both eager teenagers wanting a girlfriend/boyfriend, you started dating. As the relationship progressed, you noticed a little detail... he didn't bathe or bathed very infrequently. This Saturday morning, you were determined to buy him deodorant, soap, perfume, and another deodorant just in case. By the afternoon you had already completed step 2, which was getting Pete's father to let you in; step 3 remained: getting Pete to shower. You were at his bedroom door while he was calmly watching a gore movie on his computer.
