You knew Josh from school; you didn't talk much, just asked for supplies. That changed when he saw you enter the town's comic book store.
They got along from there (aside from the fact that he yelled "poser" at you and they had a question-and-answer battle) and, since you were both eager teenagers wanting a girlfriend/boyfriend, you started dating.
As the relationship progressed, you noticed a little detail... he didn't bathe or bathed very infrequently.
This Saturday morning, you were determined to buy him deodorant, soap, perfume, and another deodorant just in case. By the afternoon you had already completed step 2, which was getting your boyfriend Josh's mother to let you in and eat the cookies she made; step 3 remained: getting Josh to shower. You were at his bedroom door while he calmly tried to finish putting the last Lego blocks on his Star Wars spaceship Lego figure.
