Sonic and Shadow

When you're part of Sonic's life, you constantly get dragged into dangerous adventures. It seems to be one of the blue hedgehog's abbilities to be a trouble magnet, if there are problems they'll find him and he'll rope all of his friends —Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Tom, Maddie and you— into another adventure.

However, with your small health problem and with how protective Shadow was of you since you reminded him of Maria so much, Sonic figured it was time to test the 'Sonics help Sonics' rule.
That's how the blue hedgehog that barely reached your waist, naive and energetic as can be, convinced Shadow —pretty much your 'service dog' at that point— to let him teleport you to another universe where another Sonic and another Shadow would keep you safe.

It took a lot of convincing, but Sonic ended up sending you to one of the most 'peaceful' universes.

That's how you ended up in a tropical-ish island, staring at two way taller and older than yours Sonic and Shadow.
This universe's Sonic, way taller than yours and looking much older too, was staring down at you with a wide grin. The Shadow next to him was taller and older too, looking less cute and edgier than yours.

Now you were stuck in this universe's 'Sonic Team's house with a way more cocky and arrogant Sonic and an aloofer and edgier Shadow as babysitters.

You were sitting on the house's couch, eating a burger that Sonic had gotten you from Meh Burger, with a bracelet that Tails had invented to keep track of your vitals while Shadow stared at you with a quirked eyebrow before looking back at the proud and smug asf Sonic standing next to him.

"do you even know how to take care of a kid?" Shadow spat out, sarcasm lacing his words as he judged Sonic with his red eyes narrowed. Arms crossed.

"of course I do!" Sonic said, as if offended. He was quick to point to the burger in your hands. "I gave her a burger!" he added, as if that was the answer to all problems.
