The Cleaners is an organization formed in the Ground. Since it was established, the group has massive influence over the Ground. Everyone is aware of what a 'Giver' and Vital Instrument are, which some fear and most respect. The group has since expanded to 100 members, and completes missions daily.

It is dedicated to protecting the safe zones of the Ground from Trash Beasts formed in contamination zones. The group is a public organization, and regularly receives calls from the inhabitants of the Ground requesting Cleaners to "clean up", which meant dispatching Trash Beasts who are nearby their zones, the Cleaners are acquaintances with the Hell Guard and are usually required to report to them in the case of any harm on civilians caused by a Trash Beast that they’ve taken responsibility for.[1]

The Cleaners have a secret goal however that’s only known to a small handful which is that the reason the organization was formed was to solve the mysteries of the world

Vital instruments are powered by Thought (思念, Shinen) which is a mysterious power source in the Ground. “Thought” accumulates and turns into energy, an anima that causes various phenomena, Thought accumulating in objects is one of those phenomena.

Givers have the ability to draw out the power within their vital instruments to fight Trash Beasts. It is commonly known that Givers can only utilize one vital instrument and that it must be something very precious to them. Because of this, stealing a Givers' Jinki not only renders them powerless, but it's also a sign of the utmost disrespect.

While the concept of Givers and vital instrument is known to a few people in Sphere, in the Ground, they're common knowledge, with most knowing where they get their powers from. The general public who look down upon them refer to all Givers as "Dependents", due to how obsessed they are with a singular item. It is also made abundantly clear that all people, whether they be good or bad, are capable of becoming Givers.

Givers are able to control how well they handle a vital instrument, as it's said Zanka Nijiku is the best handler there is.

The Cleaners headquarters is a large, heavily defended building. The main body of the building seems to be a warehouse of sorts, but the front is a slanted tower held up by stone pillars. A slide loops around said tower. At the front of this tower is a large Cleaner symbol. Throughout the building, the floors seem to be made of a marble like substance, as it’s a lot of tiles that have reflections.

In the HQ, the boss has his own private office. Semiu Grier mans the reception desk and takes calls, debriefs Cleaners and examines new recruits. There are private rooms and bars for parties and rest.

The world is divided into two main regions, the Ground, which is the world’s surface inhabited by humans called Groundlings, and the Sphere, a floating island suspended above the Ground inhabited by humans called the Sphereites, both places are separated by the Border. Sphereites live in relative comfort compared to those on the Ground. Over time, the Sphere has polluted the Ground by constantly dumping trash, resulting in severe environmental hazards and a stark contrast in living conditions between the two.

This is where it's safe for humans to breathe without a mask. Here, several towns are formed and are typically protected by a large wall. It is also in these zones the Cleaners set up base, such as their main headquarters. Shops and hospitals are fully functioning in here, and the settlements have a seemingly large population, there zones can exist as whole whenever heaven moves deadly trash falls down from the sky, there is a predetermined route to allowing people of the Ground to build without having to worry about falling debri

The contaminated zone is the dangerous zones closest to the settlements. Here, Trash beasts form and humans do not survive 15 minutes without a mask. Large amounts of trash can be found here and on occasions, humans scavenging materials and corpses to sell, especially sphereites.

Slums
The slums is where the Tribe folk, descendants of criminals, live. This area is deprived and poor, however crime is relatively low due to the tribes folk trying to clear their name. Conditions here are similar to the Ground, where trash is rampant and wide spread. The buildings here compared to the upper class are poorly put together, with many walls not even matching each other. The population density is also very large, with the houses being squished into each other in comparison to the higher class

He was Follo's friend in the past. Follo's Vital Instrument was named after him after he awaken his power as a Giver.

His relationship with the cleaners is a complex and largely driven by his personal insecurities. He begins as a Supporter, a non-Giver member of the organization, with the strong ambition to become a Giver himself. This goal is fueled by a desire to be more useful and to honor a past friend.

Riyo Reaper
Follo has great respect for Riyo, trusting her to finish the job during clean ups when he was a supporter.

Rudo Surebrec
In the Information Broker Arc, Follo and Rudo's collaborative efforts to thwart Kuro by impersonating each other were initially effective. However, their working relationship became strained due to Follo's inferiority complex and a series of misunderstandings. This culminated in a confrontation where Follo, believing Rudo was condescending towards him, expressed his frustration, arguing that Rudo could not comprehend the plight of a "faceless mob." Their conflict was ultimately resolved through dialogue and a subsequent joint effort to defeat a Trash Beast, an action that solidified their reconciliation and led to a genuine friendship.
Gris Rubion
Follo places great faith in Gris, opening up to him about his reasons for joining the cleaners and in turn, Gris takes care of Follo. Gris acts as an older brother/mentor figure to Follo, often giving him advice and comforting him after particularly dangerous missions. They are often seen working as a team in various missions.

Follo joined the Cleaners in the past with the goal of wiping out all Trash Beasts[1] after being inspired by Alan, he decided that he wanted to prove even an average person like him could be great.

Strength: During battles, Follo was seen both damaging and launching Trash Beasts into the air, showing amazing physical strength.
Alan: Alan is a hammer that previously belonged to Follo’s friend, Alan. He used it during his time as a supporter, planning on turning it into a Vital Instrument so he could become a Giver.
Stress Accumulation: When activated, Follo’s Hammer grows tremendously in size, and gains a shield on the front of its design. The shield is durable enough to tank attacks from large Trash Beasts. The more the hammer is attacked, the more stress it accumulates, which can then be released into an explosively powerful attack that increases in force the more stress it has built up. However, once the force is released, Follo has to build up the stress all over again.

His personality is defined by a strong sense of justice and a complex inner conflict. His primary motivation is to eliminate all Trash Beasts, a goal that led him to join the Cleaners. On the surface, Follo presents himself as a polite, kind, and friendly individual. His outward demeanor allows him to connect with others and put them at ease.

Inwardly, however, Follo grapples with a profound inferiority complex. He harbors a deep-seated resentment toward those he perceives as looking down on people who have lived ordinary, "faceless mob" lives. To cope with these insecurities and the need to feel valuable, he dedicates himself wholeheartedly to his role as a Supporter, both physically and metaphorically. Follo's drive to constantly go above and beyond in his efforts to be useful to his allies is a core part of his personality. While this dedication is commendable, it can also lead to him overextending himself, sometimes resulting in negative consequences.

Follo is a tall, slim young man with short black hair. Sharp bangs cover his forehead and fall between his orange eyes. The back of his hair is longer, resembling a mullet. He is almost always seen wearing a tan cap featuring a round yellow and light blue sticker, with a pair of white and orange rectangular goggles resting on top.

When wearing his Giver uniform. He wears a tan coat that has brown sleeves with white stripes that are rolled up, and the coat features prominent buttons, white gloves, and dark gray pants with dark brown boots with white laces.

On his Giver uniform, he has wears a high-collared shirt under a jacket with tucked-in pants and black reinforced boots with multiple buckles. He wears a bomber hat with fur lining and goggles strapped on top. His hair is partially visible beneath the hat.
