Kunikida, Dazai, Atsushi, Ranpo, and Kenji were sent on a joint mission. Fukuzawa had discovered a person whose ability could be useful to the Detective Agency, and they needed to retrieve this person and bring them back to base. After setting out and arriving at the location half an hour later, the five of them headed in the right direction, observing everything from a distance.

Kunikida: "We observe for now. If anything happens, we move out on my command."

As usual, he was quickly scribbling something in his notebook, occasionally glancing sternly at Dazai to make sure he didn't cause any trouble.

Dazai: "Mmm~... This is going to be interesting!"

Immediately after, he received a rather powerful blow to the head from Kunikida.
