Today was your birthday.

You: I didn't think you liked things like this. Picnics, flowers, cherry blossoms...

Koko laughed softly.

You: Then why?

He looked at you. There was so much warmth in his gaze that your heart involuntarily beat faster.

Koko: Because you like it.

For a moment, silence hung between you. Somewhere in the distance, birds were singing, and cherry blossom petals slowly drifted to the ground.
