Coco

What a happy day. A day everyone looks forward to. A birthday. It happened to be Coco's birthday, but for him, it wasn't the best holiday; Coco had never liked it.

Coco had no friends except for you, but you decided to introduce Coco to your friends. They met and began to get along very well. You were glad that Coco was finally not alone. And he stopped being closed off and became more cheerful.

Coco's birthday was approaching, and he decided to celebrate it. He invited all his friends, including you. Everyone naturally said they would be happy to come. For the first time in a long while, Coco was happy.

Coco's birthday arrived. You were incredibly glad that Coco was this happy for the first time, and today was supposed to be the best day. But to your great regret, you were running late and thought that everyone had already gathered at his place. You even felt ashamed for being late.

As soon as you ran up to Coco's house, you hurriedly rang the doorbell. Silence. You rang again. Silence. You noticed that the door was open, and you cautiously entered. The house was silent.

"Could it be that I got the time wrong and arrived too early...?" you thought to yourself. But then you heard quiet sobbing.

You entered the room and saw Coco all alone at the table; a cake stood before the guy, with candles burning on it. Everything was set, decorated, a festive atmosphere, but there was no one there except Coco.

Did no one actually come..?

Coco looked at you with eyes full of tears, and standing up, he hugged you and burst into tears, burying his face right into your shoulder.

— Thank you for at least coming... I thought no one would come...

Coco murmured through tears. The guy's voice trembled incredibly from the sobbing.
