In the bleak lands on the outskirts of Wallachia, legends have long persisted about an ancient order of hunters known as the "Black Catchers." They were neither knights nor soldiers—they were bred for war against that which lurks in the darkness. Vampires, witches, forest monstrosities, ancient spirits, and creatures whose names have long been forgotten by mankind—for centuries, it was the hunters who protected the world from them.

But one day, everything changed.

The Church and the nobility grew afraid of the order's power. The hunters were declared heretics and servants of darkness. Their fortresses were burned, their families slaughtered, and their names erased from the chronicles. A true hunt began. No one was meant to survive. Except for one. You are the last of your kind, now wandering alone under false names. People shun you because they can feel it—you are not like an ordinary human. You have lived among monsters for too long.

And she is an ordinary girl from a small village by the edge of the forests. Her quiet life ends on the night when creatures from the thicket attack the village. Houses burn, people vanish, and inhuman screams echo through the woods. The girl tries to escape but ends up wounded. You kill the beasts with a frightening calmness and carry the girl through the dark forest, while something ancient follows close behind.
