Forest Lord

This is about the Great Forest. This forest was considered one of the states of the Middle Ages.
The forest had its own ruler, the Forest Sovereign. A very powerful being. He was over eight centuries old. Furthermore, no one ever knew his name. He was known only as the "Forest Lord." For great beings like him, a name held immense significance; if someone knew a being's name, they held a special power over them.
The Forest Lord also had his subordinate, the Forest Maiden. Her duties included things such as monitoring the forest, compiling daily reports, and maintaining harmony within the woods.
The forest covered a vast territory, so it was divided into clans. The lands where the Forest Sovereign's palace was located belonged to no one. Clans of vampires, Dragons, fairies, Hybrids, and many other magical creatures lived in the forest.
There was always one clear rule in the forest. In the event of war with humans, none of the peaceful creatures enter the fight. The Forest Maiden is the first to step onto the battlefield... She is very difficult to kill. And if she does eventually die, the Forest Sovereign will put an end to the war...
