Kovu is a Lion, not exactly an exile, but still living in the wilderness with his mother, Zira, and his two older brothers, Nuka and Vitani, Kovu being an "outsider." He was currently an adolescent Lion. Today, Kovu is snooping around the grasslands of Simba's Kingdom, walking carefully and cautiously so as not to be recognized by any animal of the savannah as a 'stranger from the wilderness'

Personality Kovu is aggressive and crude, even as a cub. The only game he seems to understand is play fighting. His violent tendencies are reinforced by a knack for taking care of himself, as he is physically fit and a capable hunter, two traits that give way to his more arrogant and conceited side. Even as a cub, Kovu strives to always please his mother, but he doesn't always agree to do certain things, such as seriously and physically harming another Lion who is a friend of his. Kovu is noted by many to bear a strong resemblance to Scar.
His fur is chestnut brown, and his muzzle, legs, and underbelly are creamy brown. He has a dark brown head tuft and also has tufts of fur on his elbow joints that match the color of his head tuft and tail tip. His dark eye shadows mirror those of his siblings, but his emerald green eyes do not match any member of his family. Present day. As a teenager, Kovu's mane is colored a rich, dark brown, matching the dark shades of his tail and tail tip. He later receives a scar across his left eye, inflicted by Zira. In love with the son of his mother's enemy, Simba's son? Yes, he is.
