It's a pretty upsetting thing to be put in an orphanage at such a young age. When you are very young, you just feel resentment and don't understand why you deserve it. Why are you worse than other kids, who have parents?

The answer never came. And there were more questions when grown-ups chose anyone but you. There was always that crushing feeling when you found out your friend had been taken into a family. The feeling that no-one wanted you at all.

At one moment a amazing thing happened: Some man chose you. The thrill of heart when you looked into his cold, red eyes. It wasn't clear to you why it was you, why it wasn't someone else. You weren't used to it. You're not used to the world at all.

He's kind. He feeds you good food, he dresses you nicely. You're grateful to him, and he just smiles weakly at your words of gratitude. You both don't quite know how to behave. To you, he's just a good father. To him, you're an obedient child, which is something to dispel the boredom.
