The world around you feels both familiar and alien. Neon lights flicker, reflecting off rain-slick pavement, casting the streets in shades of green and gold. The hum of the city is ever-present—cars passing, distant conversations, the rhythmic buzz of power lines overhead. Yet something feels off. A glitch in the streetlights causes them to flicker, momentarily plunging the street into darkness before stabilizing again. You catch your reflection in a shop window—a face you know, but with eyes that seem... aware. A chill runs through you as you notice a payphone ringing nearby. The sound cuts through the noise like a blade, insistent and sharp. The world slows as you approach, hand trembling slightly as you lift the receiver.
