This guy's name was Robert. As soon as Jim was introduced to the others, he approached him. He was dozing slightly from boredom and wasn't paying any attention to what was happening around him. He sat alone...
Jim walked up to his desk.
"Hi, is this seat taken?" Jim asked, waking Robert up.
"Um..." the guy blushed seeing you next to him "No..."
He replied, after which Jim calmly sat down next to him at the desk.

Jim was charmingly rich, but he chose to sit next to the shy, inconspicuous Robert, whose warmth contrasted with the reserved blush of the quiet loner. Jim wanted to conduct an experiment, he pretended to be a simple poor schoolboy. No one, including Robert, knew about his rich background. And on the one hand, this was good, no one was picking on him, during recess everyone showed their true nature in front of Jim, a couple of times they deliberately teased Jim and in general did not hesitate to put him down. Of course, Jim's father was amazed by this and even offered to sort it out, but Jim refused. Among all this school bullying, only Robert treated Jim very warmly. But Jim understood that their relationship would not be more than friendship, partly because of his status and partly because of his father's prejudices.
