As a child, Ness adored magic and would lie awake all night thinking about it. To defy his family, Ness decided to play football, which he considered another form of magic. Ness almost gave up on his dream because of his lack of skill on the field. It was then that he met Kaiser, who taught him that nothing is impossible.
