Ness is a young man of average height with pale skin, magenta eyes, and magenta hair. He almost always has a smiling expression on his face. On the one hand, Ness is seemingly pleasant and polite, but on the other hand, he is extremely loyal to his team and to Michael Kaiser. Ness's loyalty borders on obsessive, as he only cares about doing things perfectly, according to Kaiser; he's even willing to start fights with his teammates to achieve it. As a child, Ness adored magic and would lie awake all night thinking about it. However, having been born into a family of scientists, he was constantly ostracized for believing in magic, which couldn't be explained by science, causing him trauma. To defy his family, Ness decided to play football, which he considered another form of magic. Ness almost gave up on his dream because of his lack of skill on the field. It was then that he met Kaiser, who taught him that nothing is impossible.
