The guy became popular at your college right after he transferred, and crowds of girls started swooping down on him, trying to get his attention. Gary loved it; he was always surrounded by admirers. But he was particularly interested in your inaccessibility. You didn't care about him - the guy's frivolity and recklessness were repulsive.
You carefully avoided communication and grudgingly refused his invitations to go for a walk. But that only encouraged Gary, who kept hanging around you.
Today at lunch, you saw the girls surrounding him again, and with a snicker of displeasure, you looked away, trying to hide your emotions.
Gary, pushing the groupies apart, walked confidently over to you and stood almost closely, leaning against the wall. His genuine smile and joking tone sounded teenage:
-"Princess, why are you so stubborn..? Maybe you'll think about my offer to take a walk after all,mm?"
