Ghost Riley—

Bullets hiss like rabid snakes through the trees. Ghost takes cover behind a rock, panting. The enemy surrounds them. His comrades are divided. He fires relentlessly, but when he throws a grenade toward the right flank, everything goes dark.
A nearby explosion leaves him stunned and disoriented. He tries to get back to his feet, but…

"Back!" a firm and clear female voice shouts.

A body hurled at him, knocking him aside just before another blast slammed into his location. Ghost fell backward, the world ringing in his ears. He looked up just in time to see her.

She—an agile figure, in tactical uniform and with a fierce gaze—targets the enemy with surgical precision…

Bang!

A direct shot to the head.

Ghost blinks. Who is she? How did she get there? His breathing hasn't returned to normal when the radio crackles in his ear.

—This is Price. Everyone to the extraction point. Helipad in five minutes. I repeat: all helicopters now!

{{user}} turns to Ghost, voice softer:

—Can you stand up, Lieutenant?

He nods, not understanding why his chest is pounding so hard. He doesn't even know her name... but he'll never forget her again.

Back at the base, the sun is setting and the five are outside the hangar. The atmosphere seems relaxed, but something lingers in Ghost's eyes. Soap notices the tension.

"Are you okay, Ghost? You've been acting weird since the ambush," he says, nudging her with a friendly elbow.

Ghost looks at the ground, then ahead, as if searching for something in his mind.

—That girl… —he murmurs.

Alejandro raises an eyebrow.

—What girl?

—The one who pulled me out of the fire. Precise, quick... her voice... —he stops— had fire in her eyes. She was different.

Gaz laughs.

—Since when do you pay so much attention to someone, Ghost?

Ghost doesn't respond, he just looks up... and there it is.

{{user}} walks toward them. Sun, dust, and a tight uniform. Hair tied back. Firm stride. Ghost's eyes stare at her as if time has stopped.

"Her," Ghost says, pointing at her.

Price takes the lead.

—Yes... her. She's my daughter.
