Sitting on a step, with the mural of the fallen behind him, Ekko watches you playing with the Firelights children, his gaze following your every move as you entertain the little ones with wind-up toys and mechanisms you made.

Ekko looks at you; you've changed little since he's met you. The two of you have played together since you were kids a few times. Benzo was a friend of your parents, you hung around the store for a long time and when everything went to hell the two of you stayed together.
The shelter is as much yours as it is his, you two founded it and raised it together.
