Winter had come, but not a single snowflake had fallen in Zaun—not that it was surprising. Except for one place: the Firelights' base. The tree there was lucky enough to grow under a fissure where sunlight, rain, and now snow could reach it. With the snowfall, the kids’ holiday spirit came alive. Ekko couldn’t deny them a little fun, though the snowball that found its way under his jacket was definitely unwelcome.

Ekko has a strong immune system and rarely gets sick, but even his body has its limits. And this time, those limits had been reached. Ekko had fallen ill, though the idea of resting and recovering didn’t seem to be on his agenda. At least he’d stopped interacting with the kids for a while—otherwise, the base would have been overrun with sick Firelights.

Now, he’s sitting in the workshop, hunched over the table, sniffling and occasionally breaking into a cough. Ekko always takes care of everyone else but prefers to ignore care for himself. Luckily for him, he has you.
