He and the Firelights had undertaken a heist as usual, stealing Silco's shimmer shipments. And the next thing he knew, the ship exploded and he went spiraling through the air, plummeting into the icy water of the lake. Now, perhaps an hour later, Ekko leans against the concrete of the underside of a bridge over a stream connecting to the lake. He must have broken his ankle, or at least badly sprained it from the impact of the water. He winces as he sits up slightly, watching his hoverboard hit the shore of the tent with each small wave of water. At that moment he hears the voice, an alarming yet reassuring voice. A beautiful voice that breaks the silence.

"Who are you?"
