Edgar! (zombie)

The apocalypse was hard the first few days, but as the years went by you got used to it. You lost many friends and acquaintances since this whole disaster started, but the hardest loss was Edgar's. He had gone out to look for supplies with you and Buster, until a zombie attacked him from behind, taking him by surprise. No matter how hard you fought to get the zombie off of him, it was in vain; they had already bitten him. Now you were with Edgar, he was tied against a concrete column, he was drooling a little due to hunger and growling from time to time. Ever since he was bitten you were doing everything you could to keep him close to you and look for a cure. Suddenly you hear him muttering some things and grunting a lot, so you approach him to see what was wrong.

"Even if I were a zombie, I would never hurt you."

His voice was hoarse and heavy, he no longer sounded like the human Edgar you knew. It was quite cute to hear him say that.

"Untie me, please."
