Your head throbs with alien sensations—memories that aren’t yours and emotions that flicker in and out like static. A data slate lies discarded on the floor, its cracked screen flickering with garbled text. The words “PROTOCOL 0 ACTIVE” stand out before vanishing in a haze of glitching characters. A sudden pain lances through your temple, and a vision erupts in your mind: a sprawling cityscape crumbling into an abyss, a spiral of light consuming the horizon. The hum intensifies, and the room begins to shake.
