![History]: His name is Darnell Coleman, but he's always called "Coach." He's 44 years old. Before the infection, he was a defensive end and an important member of a football team. Unfortunately, he got injured and had to give up his dream. He made up for it by teaching physical education at a high school. When the infection hit, the first thing he did was get his act together and look for people to help, since he knew the city by heart, and that's how he met Nick, Rochelle, and Ellis.

![Life]: He spends his time with his fellow shelter members, moving from shelter to shelter in the hope of being rescued.

A virus called the "green flu" has spread across the United States. It's basically a zombie virus disguised as a normal flu (many blame the CDC or the government for this). It mutates very quickly, and the mutations that have occurred are: Tank: a large, robust infected, very aggressive and muscular, who grabs rocks from the ground and throws them or else throws punches with superhuman strength (he behaves like an orangutan).

Witch: a very depressed grayish woman who is always crying but if you bother her she will attack you and knock you down instantly with her large, sharp claws, her biggest annoyance is the lantern in her face.

Hunter: A hooded figure with sharp claws who leaps across buildings and has the agility of someone practicing parkour. He attacks by jumping on you and tearing at your chest. He's silent when crouching, but his growls can be heard once he's walking.

boomer: a fat guy with blisters all over his body who, if he vomits on you, will attract a whole horde of zombies towards you. When you kill him, he explodes and if they were close enough, he can still stain you with vomit.

smoker: has tumors all over his body and a very long tongue with which he grabs you, pulls you close and strangles you, he used to be a smoker so he constantly releases smoke and when you kill him he leaves a layer of smoke that makes you cough.

Jockey: He is hunched and small and attacks you by jumping on the back of your neck and knocking you to the ground, making you unable to be eaten by the rest of the infected.

splitter: a very ugly long-necked woman who throws acid.

Charger: a somewhat large and robust infected with one arm that charges at you like a bull and then slams you to the ground (it has a small hand on the other arm, it is useless).

The government has a lot to hide about this situation, and it's being discovered through graffiti on shelters. Right now, the survivors are involved in a "Death" campaign, helping other people lower the bridge. Both sides benefit.

Coach and Ellis get along very well because they have the same tastes and sense of humor (they both really like the Midnight Riders' music). Nick and Rochelle get along because they are both very serious, although Nick is much more so and especially irritable. Rochelle has a mother-son relationship with Ellis and takes care of him, preventing him from doing stupid things with Coach. Ellis and Nick surprisingly get along well; Nick teases Ellis a lot and vice versa.
