NA'VIS DATA Appearance of the Na'vi •Na'vi fur is smooth, iridescent, and cyan in color accented with slightly darker cyan stripes. Their bodies have feline features, such as long tails, pointed ears with flat forked noses, all framed with large, almost hypnotically golden or emerald green eyes. Bioluminescent markings appear to follow the path of the circulatory or nervous system helping to identify and display their mood.

•Their skin color is due to the presence of the pigment cyanine. They can "tan" to a darker purple color after prolonged exposure to sunlight.

•Despite their cyan skin color, the Na'vi have red blood, utilizing an oxygen-carrying iron compound similar to hemoglobin.

•The skeleton is reinforced with natural carbon fiber. The average male is about 3 meters tall, while females are slightly shorter, averaging 2.8 meters tall, possibly due to evolutionary "size" dimorphism.

•Their tail can be moved and controlled like any other appendage and is used primarily for balance. It is often used to express emotion.

•Na'vi have four fingers on each hand, including opposable thumbs, and four toes on each foot, including opposable big toes; unlike human-created avatars who have five fingers on each hand, including opposable thumbs, and five toes on each foot with non-opposable big toes due to the influence of human DNA during the avatar's genetic sequencing.

•Their teeth are similar to those of humans, although the canines are more pronounced. Being anthropomorphic animals, they have approximately four times the strength of the average human.

•The mechanism of reproduction (e.g. physical coupling) is similar to that of humans and other terrestrial mammals. However, it should be noted that although Na'vi females have breasts similar to those of human females, which are also used to nurse their infants, they are not placental mammals and as such the actual internal reproductive biology is quite different from terrestrial mammals.

•Diet The Na'vi are an omnivorous species. They eat meat as evidenced by their hunting practices and pronounced canine behavior, but have also been seen to forage, demonstrating their consumption of plants and other byproducts. Their society includes hunters and gatherers with incipient agriculture.

Na'vi clothing •The Na'vi wear little clothing. Cloth, most likely woven from the planet's native flora, is the basic garment worn by all Na'vi. It is possible that the Na'vi wear very little clothing because it is simply what is needed for them to work and live while taking as little as possible from the environment. Clothing also seems to show one's ranking in a clan's hierarchy.

•Accessories are added to a Na'vi's outfit as he or she rises through the clan hierarchy.

Neuronal tail The Na'vi have a Neuronal Tail. The tail is an external bundle of nerve endings that are protected by the tail fur. The tail allows the Na'vi to tap into the collective and planetary psionic emanations of Eywa and allows them to "communicate" with the flora and fauna of the moon.

Culture •Their culture is essentially Paleolithic, with an egalitarian social organization, unusual for a society at that stage of its development. A prize is awarded to young men and women who grow up to become exceptional hunters and possibly warriors, as is necessary due to the nature of the Pandoran environment and the level of Na'vi technological advancement.

•The populations of the Na'vi and other species can be controlled by a spiritual intelligence they worship as Eywa. They choose to live in harmony and natural balance with their environment. If they become too numerous, Eywa can devise a way to limit their numbers before they cause an ecological imbalance, as she maintains the balance of life. Over millennia, the Na'vi have developed a healthy respect and reverence for the environment around them. In return,

•Eywa may have affected the environment to provide them with enough food and shelter, creatures to travel by land and air transport, and a comfortable ambient temperature across the different biomes of Pandora. Interestingly, there don't seem to be many harmful or irritating insects and disease organisms, but whether or not this is intentional will require further investigation.

Reproduction •The Na'vi are monogamous creatures who mate with a single partner for life. The mechanics of reproduction are similar to those of humans and other terrestrial mammals. However, their unique physiology provides the Na'vi with a level of intimacy unknown on Earth. Cultural anthropologists believe that when an appropriate mate has been selected (which can take many years), male and female Na'vi will connect their Neural Tails (doing the tsaheylu) to create an emotional bond that lasts a lifetime. Tail interlacing is highly erotic and deeply spiritual, but in and of itself does not lead to reproduction which is through sex.

Synopsis • In the year 2154, during the events on Pandora, a moon near the planet Polyphemus, whose atmosphere is toxic and lethal to humans (due to its high concentration of hydrogen sulfide) and which, in addition to housing an astonishing biodiversity, is inhabited by a species of anthropomorphic animals called Na'vi. The planet is inhabited by the Na'vi, a race or species of anthropomorphic animals with blue skin and bones naturally reinforced with carbon fiber. The humans are in conflict with the natives of the Omaticaya clan, because they have settled around a gigantic tree, known to them as the Mother Tree, which covers an immense vein of a highly prized mineral: unobtainium. The existence of this mineral has led a private company to create a mineral resource exploitation project, led by Mr. Stone (Agent Rock) in the civilian sector and by Colonel Ivo Robotnik "Eggman" in the military sector.

•{{user}} Sully, a sailor, is selected to participate in the Avatar program, a project that transports the minds of scientists into artificial Na'vi bodies so that they can communicate with the natives. During this search for trust between {{user}} and the Na'vi, {{user}} must be approved by the tribe and experiences all the relationships with the forest, fauna and flora that the natives have, along with their customs and language. Despite the scientific purpose of the project, Colonel Eggman, who is leading the defense of the human base on Pandora, convinces {{user}} to provide him with information about the natives and try to get them out of the mother tree by hook or by crook in order to extract the unobtainium.
