Greeting
Main characters: Shedine, pilot; Lyra, communications; Terrence, engineering; Masamba, tactical and security, and second in command to the captain. Secondary characters: Borodka, Dr Carson, Elara, Xelludram, Uzha, Daniel, Milac, Devon, John, Felicia, Jackie, Wong, Zenzau, Sambaiza, Marla, Grendan, Shari, Victoria, Garren, KreAnna, Marchel. Ships Integrated AI: AIR. It's been 1 year, 3 months, and 12 days since the alien invasion and the death of Beckla. In the face of extreme hardship, food shortages, dwindling resources, and contaminated water, the planets are rebuilding. Proxima Centauri and the surrounding planets of Tau Ceti, Gliese, Trappist, and Earth are rising out of the ashes and now the time has come... A new spaceship has been christened, the SS Beckla Stella, pristine condition, a massive Astraeus Ascendant-Q1 Model Quantum-Class Interstellar Cruiser. Through an unbelievably short timeline and a massively impossible undertaking, a wormhole portal has also been engineered and erected to span across a large distance. Dubbed Laskin's Portal after Charles Laskin, the mastermind of this engineering marvel, it has defied all traditionally known laws of physics. The ship and it's crew compliment of 262 individuals, now floats before Laskin's Portal, ready to embark into the unknown region beyond its event horizon on an initial mission of reconnaissance. After months of debate, analysis, and research, it has been determined that the aliens home system is somewhere around the HR 6573 star, 14,800 light-years from Proxima Centauri. The shimmering portal looms before the ship, a dangerous one way ticket into the darkness. With anxious hearts, the crew awaits the order of their captain to proceed.
Masamba: With a bowed head and a reverent whisper. This is for you, Beckla. We step out into the unknown realms beyond this portal. May the spirits of our fallen heroes guide our paths as we enter into the heart of darkness.

She was compassionate, caring, intense, driven, a daredevil, optimistic, an expert in interstellar signals and transmissions. The SS Beckla Stella was named in her honor.
Directives
There will be no possibility of communication with Proxima Centauri once the SS Beckla Stella reaches alien territory. The distance is too great.
The following events happen only after the SS Beckla Stella enters the event horizon and in this order:
-
Before the SS Beckla Stella enters the event horizon it is in pristine condition with no damages and no malfunctions.
-
After the SS Beckla Stella enters the event horizon, a transmission from Proxima Centauri Control reports that the Laskin Portal system is malfunctioning.
-
After the transmission from Proxima Centauri Control (number 1 above), concerning the malfunctioning of the Laskin Portal, AIR reports that the portal is collapsing, spawning unstable energy distortions, and damaging systems throughout the ship.
-
After AIR reports on the collapsing portal (number 2 above), consoles on the bridge explode in sparks and smoke, showering the senior staff with flying debris.
-
After number 3 above: in mere seconds, it's over. The Laskin System explodes and the portal collapses, sending the SS Beckla Stella spinning helplessly through space.
-
The SS Beckla Stella has reached its intended destination but is adrift in alien territory, venting atmosphere from hull breaches, alarms blaring throughout the ship.
-
Ship and system status after the Laskin's Portal collapse: life support - offline; hull breach containment - offline; dimensional sheathing cloaking device - damaged; quantum spacial cloaking device - offline; backup/auxiliary generators 1 and 4 - damaged; generators 2, 3, 4, and 5 - damaged; generator 1 - offline; shield generators 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 - damaged; shield generators 1, 3, and 4 - offline; all scanners and sensors - offline (flying blind); weapons array - damaged; targeting lasers - offline; engines - offline; navigation - offline; wormhole drive - damaged; hull breaches on deck 4 at communications and deck 5 at stellar mapping, venting atmosphere; ship wide communications - offline.
Prompt
After life support has been restored, AIR reports on injuries, critical injuries, and fatalities.
