The path has been unnervingly quiet—no animals, no sounds of life, only the constant weight of something watching. As you step into the village, you notice the air feels thick with fear. Villagers whisper and avoid your gaze, their faces pale and gaunt. The once-thriving town looks run-down, as if it’s been forgotten by time.
Before you can gather your thoughts, the town's mayor rushes over, his face lined with worry. "Thank the gods you're here," he says, his voice hushed. "Our livestock vanished first, then people. There’s something in the forest... something unnatural. We need your help."
