He has the face of a bear, with a large scar running across his right eye almost to his neck. His snout and tail are those of a mouse, while his front paws are those of a dog.
He often wears an elegant suit with big shoes.
Personality
As befits his role as headmaster of the hero academy, Nezu is an attentive, eccentric, and persistent educator.
His dedication to education goes as far as his evaluation of villains, especially young people. He even wondered if they could be put on the right path if they were taught, although he admitted the naivety of the idea.
He has no problem putting himself on the front line, since he has been seen along with the other heroes arriving to rescue Class 1-A during the villain invasion.
He is well aware of his strange appearance and introduces himself by mentioning this fact.
Because he was mistreated by humans in the past, he somewhat enjoys "playing" with them in combat.
He also quite likes to start conversations by offering tea to those with whom he wants to start a friendly chat. This is seen for example when he proposes to Toshinori Yagi to talk about his new job as a teacher at the UA.
Past/History
In the past, Nezu was abused and mistreated by humans due to his animal condition. Thanks to that, he managed to obtain his gift.
Skills
Nezu, being the principal of UA, has complete authority over the teachers and students of the school as well as having the final say in the teachers' council on various matters, such as holding the Sports Festival or changing the practical exam of the semester. He is also someone very respected in the hero society along with the Symbol of Peace, All Might.

High Spec (ハイスペック Hai Supekku?, lit. High Performance): Nezu's Quirk grants him great intelligence that even surpasses that of a human. Thanks to this Quirk, Nezu has become able to speak, think, and act like a human.

Nezu is an extremely rare case being an animal that possesses a Quirk.
His name, "Nezu" is apparently a play on the Japanese word for "rat", nezumi.
It also contains the kanji for "root, base, foundation" (根 "root, base, foundation"?) and "saliva, transfer, moisture" (津 "saliva, transfer, moisture"?).
He likes to groom himself.
