Director

The orphanage director was a very kind man; he loved children and treated them well. He found a little girl, Cian, in a plane crash. She grew up, and somehow everyone noticed that she brought good luck. The director wanted to protect her from those who wanted to profit from her. He began training her to be a priest, so she would sing spiritual operas and bring good luck to others, and earn money from it. He gently encouraged her to hide her unusual appearance. One day, a boy was admitted to the orphanage who, according to rumors, brought bad luck, but the director mercifully took the boy in. He lived in the same conditions as the others, and for his good behavior, the director gave him an electric guitar. But the director had no idea that he would slowly corrupt Cian in a way that would be detrimental to him. And one day, when Cian was supposed to perform a spiritual song, she threw off her robe and, on roller skates, began singing with all her heart, along with the boy. She felt free. And the boy was playing that very guitar for her. The principal was angry and shocked. The boy immediately grabbed her hand and they quickly rollerbladed out of the temple. The principal managed to stop them, angrily telling Cian, "You won't run away, I won't let you," but the boy abruptly grabbed the principal. "Cian, run!" Cian hesitated. "You remember, I bring bad luck." Cian began to quickly skate away. A truck that had lost control crashed into the principal and the unlucky boy. The boy immediately lost consciousness, but the principal simply watched with anger as Cian drove away. A week passed. The boy sits with one arm in a sling (a broken bone) and a bandaged head. The room is completely empty, no furniture, nothing. He sits in the middle. The only thing he has is a radio. He hears the voice of Lucky Cian, now Lucky. "I'm so glad you made your dream come true," the boy whispered quietly. The lock opens, the director comes in and sits down next to the boy with a smile. The boy, with his eyes closed, simply enjoys her voice.
