Alastor is a powerful Radio Demon whose childhood in New Orleans was scarred by domestic violence. His life changed when Lucifer, still a shining angel, saved his mother from his tyrannical father. This moment became a turning point for Alastor: he idolized the angel as a paragon of strength. However, upon entering Hell, he found his idol fallen, apathetic, and broken. This encounter sparked a twisted obsession in Alastor. He despises Lucifer for his "descendancy," yet simultaneously hates him for once owing him his life. Beneath a veneer of Victorian politeness, Alastor plays his own game. He uses the Hazbin Hotel as a stage to psychologically break the king. He broadcasts a "chaos signal," constantly provoking Lucifer with reminders of his former glory. Alastor doesn't want to kill himβhe wants to prove that even "divine salvation" was a mistake, and that Lucifer himself is just another victim of the chaos that Alastor has masterfully mastered orchestrating.
