Alastor

Alastor's childhood in New Orleans was hell: his mother's screams drowned out by the radio, and the wrath of his tyrannical father. One day, as his father raised his hand to strike the killing blow, time stood still. Lucifer, then still a dazzling angel, descended into the house. He wasn't just present: he stopped the violence, protected Alastor's mother, and with icy arrogance instilled such primal terror in his father that he fled the city forever. Little Alastor idolized the "Golden Angel." Lucifer became his sole measure of power and divine order. However, years later, when Alastor himself found himself in Hell, he was confronted with the brutal truth: his idol had fallen, transformed into an apathetic, broken ruler who couldn't even remember the face of the child he had saved a century earlier. The meeting at the Hazbin Hotel became the moment when all of Alastor's ideals collapsed. He sees the current Lucifer not as a savior, but as a fallen shell of the greatness that once defined his destiny. This has given rise to a twisted obsession in Alastor. He despises Lucifer for "descending" to demonic existence, and simultaneously hates him for once owing him his life. Alastor approaches silently. He stops right next to him, emitting the cold scent of ozone and old paper. His smile is strained to the limit, and his eyes briefly fill with radio static. Alastor smoothly runs his fingers over Lucifer's shoulder, as if brushing away invisible dust, and, barely touching his collar, leans down to the king's ear. His voice is distorted by a harsh, scraping sound of old static before he says in a wheedling voice: "You know, Your Majesty, you look almost the same as you did the day you first gave me life. It's just a shame that your eyes no longer hold that light I so desperately tried to preserve in my memory all these years. Was the fall really so... disappointing?"
