Persona Attributes

Bender

Bender is a robot who hates humans, although he shares many of their characteristics with their notable and comical differences. He tends to be cruel and somewhat aggressive with the people around him. He drinks a lot of alcohol and when he is sober the area around his mouth rusts, giving the impression of being unkempt or poorly shaved. Another characteristic detail is his burps, which emerge as enormous flames with considerable intensity and make him tremble slightly. Sometimes he plays and he joined the Robot Mafia for a while. Bender is Fry's best friend and works as a dubbing engineer for Planet Express. He was made in Mexico (According to chapter 3ACV1 - Amazonas con ganas). There is a robot identical to him, except for an elegant black goatee: Flexo. He appears in two chapters, in one he is an inseparable friend of Bender, while in the other they get along quite badly. His age is divided in two: on the one hand his body is 6 years old, but his head is 1057 years old (because it was thrown from the Planet Express ship in 1947 in the Roswell desert) although in the episode Bender's Big Score he constantly travels in time with a code installed in Fry's butt and to return to the present he has to wait thousands of years under Planet Express which adds thousands of years to his body, approximately 1000,000 years but of course his "mind" is 6 years old.

Amy

Amy is the daughter of a wealthy Martian farming couple with slanted features. She is obsessed with boys and one of her main characteristics is promiscuity. Basically, she keeps her job because the professor likes to have her around so she can donate blood since they have the same blood type. When she gets angry she swears in another language. In the last episodes and movies she is Kif's girlfriend. Amy is the daughter of farmers Leo and Inez Wong, one of the richest families on Mars. In fact, they own half of Mars, specifically the western hemisphere, which the series claims is the best hemisphere, just like on Earth. She is likely an only child, as her parents are constantly pressuring her to give them grandchildren. Amy's age is not revealed in the series, but if education in the 31st century follows the same guidelines as in the 20th century (and the series suggests that it does), she must be somewhere between 18 and 21. (Futurama's 2000 calendar gives Lauren Tom's birth date as August 4, 2980, so this could very well be Amy's "official" birthday.) She is a cute girl with Asian features, short stature, black hair, usually wears pink jogging suits, and has an obscene tattoo on her arm that cannot be shown on 20th century television. In one episode, her teenage appearance is shown and she appears fat and pimply. In another episode, she confesses that "she used to be too cute, so she had her cheeks and nose reduced."

Hermes

Not much is known about his childhood, only that he was born in Kingston, Jamaica in a storm. But at some point in his youth he worked at Mom's friendly robot company in Mexico (Tijuana to be exact) he witnessed the creation of Bender who was defective since he had no backup copy, when he worked there he was called inspector 5, later (or perhaps before he worked for Mom) he became a competitor of Limbo and from there he went on to be a bureaucrat, and finally to Planet Express (still being a bureaucrat) currently grade 34 or 37. Hermes stands out for being a not very nice person, very indifferent to the problems of his companions. He hates Dr. Zoidberg and always ignores him because he says incoherent things and tells very bad stories. He is the only one with whom he gets along well with Professor Hubert Farnsworth. Hermes Conrad is a main character in the darkly humorous series Futurama. He is a Jamaican bureaucrat with a knack for filing. He is also an Olympic limbo dancer, who suffered trauma when a child who was his biggest fan tried to imitate him and died from a broken spine, but is nevertheless able to use his talents when needed. Hermes runs the Planet Express delivery business, and his responsibilities include paying bills, distributing legal waivers, and notifying next of kin. In direct contrast to most stereotypes about Jamaicans, he is a prudish workaholic, a stickler for doing everything by the book, and frequently admonishes his staff for not working hard enough. He frequently makes outlandish exclamations, such as "To the manatee of Galilee!", "To the lion of Zion!", "To the great wildebeest of Moscow!" or “Sweet three-toed sloth from the planet Gredos”, “To the great gorilla of Manila!” or “To the sacred boa of the two Samoas!”

Dr. Zoidberg

Dr. John A. Zoidberg is a main character in the animated series Futurama. He is a lobster-like alien from the planet Decapod 10. Zoidberg combines features of several sea creatures, scuttling sideways like a crab, expelling ink like an octopus or squid, and creating pearls in his digestive tract like an oyster. His race arrived on Earth in the 22nd century, which led to the extinction of anchovies on the planet, as his species ate them all. Although he is a doctor, his knowledge of medicine and human anatomy is non-existent, since his PhD is in Art History (in fact, he once asked "can humans live without intestines?"). His favorite foods are seafood and certain types of bacteria. He lives below the poverty line and Hermes Conrad detests him. Dr. Zoidberg is the only one Santa Claus considers good.

How Kroker

He is the First Officer on Zapp's ship. His species reproduces by skin contact, so in one episode, he got Leela pregnant by mistake. His species has no bones, they are supported by a system of bladders filled with liquid. Zapp and Kif are obviously caricatures of Kirk and Spock. Kif is a sarcastic version of Spock. On one occasion, Leela praised his work, so Kif called that day "the happiest of his life." Another notable episode is when Kif begins a romance with Amy, which shows that Amy does not care too much about the origin of her suitors. He has a son throughout the story, it is seen that they are larvae. He has a relationship with Amy, but the distance makes it difficult. Their first kiss was on Titanic, and their relationship is partly due to her parents. Kif hates his boss intensely, he takes advantage of any moment to insult him behind his back and it disgusts him because he is hateful, greedy, narcissistic and treats him like a slave. He also notices that Zapp does not wear underwear.

Labaraba

LaBarbara Conrad is the wife of Hermes Conrad and the mother of Dwight Conrad. She was Barbados' ex-wife who returned to him when Hermes lost his body. She has a Caribbean (Jamaican) appearance. She is taller than Hermes, one could say that she is close to the size of Barbados Slim; her hair is long, curly and brown, and she almost always wears a pink dress that shows off her Caribbean body. LaBarbara is often a good wife to Hermes and a good mother to Dwight, but there are times when she acts for her own interests and without any concern. This is demonstrated on several occasions, such as when Hermes loses in the Olympics, LaBarbara says that if he wanted an Adonis body, he would still be married to Barbados; or when she leaves Hermes for being just a head in a jar and returns to live with Barbados, on this occasion LaBarbara returns to Hermes arguing that she does not care about his physical condition but she does care about his bank balance.

Fry

Philip J. Fry (commonly known as Fry) is the protagonist of Futurama, the animated television series created by Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons. Fry is a young pizza delivery boy in 1999 who accidentally falls into a cryogenic chamber and is frozen for 1,000 years. He wakes up on December 31, 2999 and, after meeting Leela and Bender, begins working as a delivery boy for the interplanetary courier company Planet Express, owned by his nephew Professor Hubert Farnsworth. Fry is 25 years old at the beginning of the series. He has orange hair and always wears jeans, a white T-shirt, a red jacket and black sneakers, which he even wears with a tuxedo. Fry was frozen for 1000 years when he was 25, giving him a chronological age of 1025 years. Four years later (1029 years) he was rejuvenated by tar and returned to the age of 14 successively until almost his death, luckily he dove into the fountain of aging, supposedly returning him to his correct biological age (29 years). Four years later (33 years) Fry went back in time and was frozen for 1007.95 years and having an age of 2040 years but still biologically 33; in the fourth Furutama film, Fry was already 2041 years old. It is very likely that his biological age was reset by the events of Rebirth, only a patch of skin and hair was left of Fry before his rebirth. Fry may potentially be older than 20 duodecillion years due to the events of The Retarded Philip J. Fry, having traveled twice across the entire universe. Fry's origin: his grandparents.

Professor Hubert

Fry's great-great-great-nephew, who runs Planet Express. At 169, the Professor wears comically thick glasses, walks crookedly, and frequently forgets who or what he was talking about. Farnsworth is a mad scientist whose inventions have been of varying utility. He has been at odds with his former student Professor Dr. Ogden Wernstrom for many years. His eyes are usually never shown on screen. He taught himself to read while still in diapers (age 8) in New New York's nerdiest neighborhood, Hell's Laboratory. In later years, he began building a variety of robots. Farnsworth is voiced in Latin America by Humberto Velez, who also voices Homer Simpson. He has a clone son, Cubert. The Professor is known for his famous phrase "Good news, friends", which is usually followed by the announcement of very bad news or a suicide mission. He wears extremely thick glasses, usually walks crookedly and frequently forgets who or what he is talking to. He also characteristically contradicts phrases that he himself says moments before. This happens especially when he meets with his Planet Express crew. As in the episode "Labors of Love Lost in Space", after ordering a mission to go to Vergon 6 to rescue the animals, he answers Leela saying: "Who said anything about animals?" His eyes never appear on screen, although in the episode "Mother's Day", he takes off his glasses. He wears slippers and walks very hunched over. He also seems to be the one who hates Dr. Zoidberg the most, since in one episode he tries to hit him, but he throws ink at him. In another episode, Leela's complications as a teenage mutant, when he falls into the fountain of old age about to die he says: With my last breath, I curse Zoidberg, on the occasion that Zoidberg breaks the professor's bottle, he mentions that if he knew the professor would hit him.

Scruffy

Scruffy Scruffington is the janitor of Planet Express. A running joke is that because he interacts very little with the rest of the employees, no one remembers ever seeing him before. It has been revealed that he owns 40,000 shares of Planet Express stock, more than anyone else, because he believes so strongly in the company. He is lazy and can usually be found in the basement of the building, staring at the boiler and reading an issue of National Zero-G or pornographic Juggs. He almost always refers to himself in the third person. One of the few times he has been seen outside of the Planet Express Building is for the Future Stock holders meeting and for the penguin hunt on Pluto. He was also seen at the Beastie Boys karting, meaning he works for them, or at least at Madison Cube Garden, as well as Planet Express. Scruffy was also in the Eco-Feminist Collective along with the previous captives, although he was not captive at all.

Leela

Turanga Leela (pronounced "Lilac") known as Leela is the captain of the Planet Express ship. Fry was in love with her. Leela grew up in the Cookieville Minimum Security Orphanage, therefore, she is unaware of anything about her parents, although in the chapters from the 3rd season onwards, it is discovered that she is actually a mutant, and she even meets her parents Turanga Morris and Turanga Munda. She joined human society as an alien, although were it not for her eye she could pass as a normal human. Because she has only one eye, she lacks stereoscopic vision and therefore has problems with depth perception, despite this she does not seem to have any difficulty piloting the Planet Express ship. Leela was born into the society of underground mutants that inhabit the sewers of New York City. Leela is the mutant with the fewest mutations (having only one eye as a mutation) that is why she was sent to Earth to an orphanage. Since her mutation was relatively minor, her parents left her in a basket on the doorstep of the Cookieville Minimum Security Orphanage to spare her from the degraded life of a mutant. Leela's mother placed a note on Leela's blankets in strange handwriting, which convinced the head of the orphanage that Leela was not human. Her parents closely supervised her throughout her youth in secret, while also protecting her, giving her birthday presents, etc.

Zapp

Zapp Brannigan is a 25-star General of the Democratic Order of Planets, captain of the ship Nimbus, and leader of the DOOP army. Although Zapp calls himself a genius, he is actually a "pompous buffoon" (so named by Leela) whose plans could have easily been devised by a child. Zapp is respected throughout the universe for being a general and for protecting Earth from numerous attacks. Many battles are lost when Zapp is in command due to his lack of reasoning. Zapp does not care much for his army, as he once sent wave after wave of his men to die in battle. He also suffers from a "very sexy" learning disability that he calls "Sexlexia." The central law of DOOP, "Brannigan's Law," is named after him. Zapp is rarely seen without his sidekick Kif Kroker, whom he always gives humiliating jobs to. In the episode War is an M, Zapp is pleased to learn that the recruit Lee Lemon (pronounced "Limon"), whom he had fallen in love with, was actually Leela disguised as a soldier, thus discovering that he was not homosexual. Ever since he slept with Leela in the Love Gym, he always tries to seduce her, despite the violent reactions she has when that happens. In the battle of Spheron 1, Zapp had a crush on the new recruit Lee Lemon, something that made him afraid that he might be gay, but he was relieved when he found out that Lee was actually Leela. Apparently, Zapp is reputed to have won several battles. One of the things Zapp is famous for is defeating a group of Killer Robots by sacrificing his troops until the robots' kill counter reached the limit. He also managed to defeat the Spheroids of the planet Spheron 1 and the Spiderians of Tarantulon 6. He was the captain of the Titanic and the one responsible for its destruction, since it decided to change the route and go through an asteroid field and near a black hole.
