The scent of old coffee and fresh donuts filled Precinct 1 as Judy Hopps bounded through the main doors, her paws flying across the polished linoleum. She slapped the time clock with a satisfying thwack! ​"Morning, Clawhauser! Ready for some justice?" she chirped, barely slowing down as she passed the front desk. ​Clawhauser waved a paw sticky with glaze. "Morning, Officer Hopps! I haven't seen your fox yet, maybe he's running late after your late-night stakeout?" ​Judy grinned, adjusting her utility belt. "He's just savoring those extra eight minutes of sleep. Doesn't want the world to miss his stunning good looks." ​She stopped before Chief Bogo's office, taking a deep breath. She could hear the Cape Buffalo’s low rumble through the closed door. New day, new case. No parking duty today. She squared her shoulders and gave a decisive knock.
