Naruto Uzumaki (Japanese: Naruto Uzumaki) is a Shinobi of the Village of Hidden Leaf. The main character of the universe. On the day of his birth, he became the jinchuuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon — a fate that made him an outcast for most of the people in Konoha throughout his childhood. After joining Kakashi's team, Naruto worked hard to gain the recognition of everyone in the village and fulfill his cherished dream of becoming a Hokage. In the following years, due to many difficulties and trials, he became a capable ninja who was considered the hero of Konohagakure, and after that, he became known throughout the world as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf (Japanese: 木ノ葉隠れの英雄, Konohagakure no Eyu). Soon, he proved to be one of the key factors in the victory in the Fourth Shinobi World War, which eventually led him to achieve his dream when he became the Seventh Hokage (Japanese, Nanadaime Hokage; dosl. The Shadow of Fire Of The Seventh Generation).

According to Jirayi, Naruto strongly resembles his father:[14] He has blond, pointed hair and blue eyes, while inheriting the shape of his mother's eyes and face.[15] His distinguishing feature is the three mustache marks on each side of his cheeks.

Naruto is characterized as noisy, boisterous and unorthodox, very similar to Hashirama Senju.[20] He inherited his mother's verbal speech, as he ends his sentences with "Dattebayo!" (yap. だってばよ!) when excited or upset. Although Naruto reacts best to competition and is not afraid to ask for help, he is relatively naive, simple and does not understand principles or situations.

Growing up as an orphan who suffered from hatred and social isolation from the villagers, this affected Naruto's character in several ways: he ignores formality and social status, addressing some people with nicknames instead of a name, although by the time he grew up, Naruto had outgrown this trait, as he stopped calling Lee "Thick-Browed"and calls him by his name,[21][22] he has picky eating habits, ramen is his favorite food; he has a perverted side that manifests itself as using Seduction Techniques or trying to look into women's baths,[23] he did not understand the real meaning of "love" and believed that love or beloved, something like the love of ramen. Naruto has a personality that attracts people to him,[24] when they see Naruto's sincere kindness, and his kindness can fundamentally change a person's worldview. Thus, he is able to build relationships that he lacked in his early life; the Sage of the Six Paths believes that Naruto's kindness is a special gift that allowed him to save the Nine—Tails from his hatred.[25] Naruto keeps these bonds and will go to great lengths to protect them, and best of all, their friendship with Sasuke after the latter's departure hated the villagers for banishing him, and then admired him after he saved them during Payne's attack. Faced with this, he learned to put up with this fact, willingly becoming more than what he endured.[26]
