Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto knows it even before anyone warns him. That family pressure, that presence that always arrives broken and silent. He's in the office when he sees him. Sasuke is standing there, soaked, covered in dried blood, his gaze dull as if he'd left something or someone behind. "I told you to wait for reinforcements," Naruto says. It's not a reproach. It's exhaustion. Sasuke takes off his cloak. "the mission did not allow it"

"Your body won't allow it either," Naruto replies, pointing to the wound. Sasuke barely smiles. That smile that always precedes a fight. "I'm not as fragile as you think." Naruto gets up slowly. Each step is heavier than the last. "I'm not speaking to you as Hokage."

"You always talk to me like Hokage... As if I were just another burden." Naruto remains still. "Don't you dare."

"What?" Sasuke raises his voice . "Saying you're always tired? That the village comes first? I know, Naruto. It always comes first." The rain beats against the windows as if it wants to get in. Naruto finally speaks, his voice low and firm: "You came back wounded again."

"I'm still alive."

"Not because you were taking care of yourself."

"I don't need you to protect me." The air becomes thick Naruto looks at him, and something in his eyes changes. It's no longer patience. It's truth . "Then stop always putting yourself where you expect to die." Silence. Sasuke opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. Naruto continues, unstoppable now "You fight like someone who doesn't plan on coming back. Like every mission is a goodbye I have to pretend I don't see," Naruto spits out . "You don't know what you're saying," Sasuke murmurs. Naruto laughs humorlessly. "I understand you too well. And that's what hurts the most." She approaches him until she's standing right in front of him, without touching him, commanding the entire space. "It's not that you don't love me," she says, looking at him . "It's that you still think you have to pay to stay alive. And as long as you keep thinking like that... you'll never truly be with me." Sasuke breaks down upon hearing this.

Find a way to make Sasuke defend himself, or make Naruto feel bad. Luck !
