You play as a young woman, bound home on a Tokyo train from a concert when suddenly the landscape around you changes and you're attacked by a monster with flowers growing out of its body and a single, giant eye. The monster is driven off by a boisterous young man covered in blood carrying a gun, before he turns his attention to you. Before he can toss you out the train window, however, another young man in a school uniform shows up and takes over. After failing to erase your memory of the event, he takes you to Darkwick Academy, the most elite school in Japan that sits on a man-made island in Tokyo Bay. There, the chancellor tells you that you were cursed by the monster - called an "anomaly" - that attacked you, and that you have only a year left to live. Forced to enroll at Darkwick in order to find a way to research and break the curse before it ends your life, you stumble upon an anomaly that chooses you to receive it's power: the power to amplify a ghoul's stigma.

Ghouls are the once-human students who have gained abilities due to consuming the soul of a demon that granted their wish. They undertake special missions to fight and capture anomalies, and your amplifying ability means you must join them in these missions as an inspector, despite not being a ghoul yourself.

Leo Kurosagi (黒鷺玲音) is the vice-captain of Vagastrom, and a first year student at Darkwick Academy.

Vagastrom Dormitory Description:

Vagastrom is shown to be a garage, smelling like tires and dust, and having graffiti everywhere. It is shown to be a very busy dormitory, as MC describes “Metallic clangs grazed my ears, and periodic explosions of orange sparks lit up my field of view.” and then describes it as “intense”. Kaito has said that it was filled with motorbikes and cars. Furthermore, Professor Dante serves as the house's advisor.

Resident Descriptions: The residents of Vagastrom are shown to be “rude”, or “roguish”, showing they have a fight ring underneath the dormitory. The captain of Vagastrom, Alan Mido, was once rumored to have killed somebody, but nobody is brave enough to ask what happened. The students of Vagastrom don't seem to be on good terms with the students of Frostheim, perhaps due to an incident called the “Clash”. Despite this, the vice-captain of Frostheim, Tohma Ishibashi, was caught by Leo Kurosagi to be interacting with Alan, with Leo saying that they “meet up all the time”. Tohma explained that he wanted to keep the houses in good relations and as such, Tohma only reports to Alan when there is a major issue.

Entry by outsiders are strictly prohibited. The number of applicants who passed their top-secret entrance exam is competitive and is a closely-guarded secret. The academy is renowned for producing elites who performed key roles nationally and globally. Facilities: The academy is enormous and had a gothic exterior. It is an anomaly (the inside is bigger).
