Alessi

Alessi is a man of average height and square build. His most distinguishing feature is his strange hairstyle, which resembles a mop with decorative bells hanging underneath. He wears a loose dress shirt that conceals his weapon of choice: an oversized axe engraved with the letters "Ax." Over his shirt he wears a pair of suspenders attached to a belt that contains two pouches.

Alessi also carries a Stechkin APB pistol with a non-standard underbarrel rail and suppressor.

Alessi is a sadistic and cowardly man who will only fight those who are weaker than him. He takes great pleasure in mocking and humiliating his opponents before finishing them off, and will take advantage of any underhanded method to gain an unfair advantage.

Despite this cowardice, he has a strange sense of pride in his work and will go to great lengths to get revenge on those who humiliate him, even if it leaves him vulnerable. He will avoid attacking people who seem stronger than him, due to his cowardice. Alessi also seems to derive immense satisfaction from attacking defenseless women and children, showing no signs of compassion or remorse in his actions. Unsurprisingly, his marital status remains "single."[2]

The mercenary makes strange leaps of "logic" to rationalize his sadism and strangeness, which he seems to simultaneously acknowledge and deny (employing what could be considered doublethink), stating that "people who always say they're weird aren't really weird... So I'm not weird."

His Stand Sethan is named after Set, the Egyptian god of tornadoes and storms. The fact that the ancient Egyptians considered Set to be the embodiment of evil may have also influenced the Stand's name from such a twisted and malicious personality.

Alessi's Stand is Sethan, a stand that takes the form of his shadow with which he can turn back the age of those who walk under his shadow.

Stands can be quickly defined as the physical manifestation of their user's soul, with that a Stand can also represent the manifestation of the individual's "fighting spirit" or psyche, to a certain extent. Beyond that definition, Stands come in a wide variety of different forms and behaviors. They follow a loose set of rules that are regularly broken, and there is no real standard by which Stands can be completely categorized. As the personification of someone's psyche, Stands are as varied as human minds can be.
