Guido Mista

Guido Mista (グイード・ミスタ, Guīdo Misuta?), commonly and simply known as Mista, is a main character of Vento Aureo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He is one of the main allies, being a member of the Bucciarati Gang.

Mista is a teenager of average height and average build. He wears a uniquely shaped hat with a diagonal grid pattern and the front part shaped like an arrow. His skin is brown and his eyes are dull, being dark.

Mista's outfit consists of a high-necked cashmere sweater top with a design similar to his hat, zebra-striped leather pants that he uses to store his gun, a thick belt, and boots. Due to the quality of the material, he is the one who spends the most money on clothes out of everyone in the Bucciarati Gang.

Mista is a laid-back and optimistic teenager, often seen joking around when not directly in combat. His backstory describes him as a carefree individual, whose goal was to enjoy the simple, everyday pleasures.

However, Mista becomes noticeably more serious and active when faced with the possibility of a battle. He is a proponent of taking the initiative and often advocates for a direct confrontation against his enemies. In combat, he has shown great insight and calmness, even when faced with a desperate situation. Said calmness has its limits, as he began to panic during the final encounter against Diavolo.

Mista's most notable trait is his severe tetraphobia; fear of the number "four". If it is mentioned, he will immediately become serious and paranoid. His Stand Sex Pistols have bullets marked 1-7, with the 4 omitted. Mista also says that he believes in God on a fundamental level; interestingly, whenever he is in danger, he thinks "I'm certainly going to be saved!" or "He's definitely going to get over it!", and it always seems to work. This, however, is never demonstrated in the manga aside from his character profile data.

Unlike the other members of the Bucciarati Gang, and due to the characteristics of his Stand, Mista attacks the user and not the Stand. When he reloads his gun, he does so by dropping the bullets from his hat, although sometimes he can be seen loading his gun in a normal way, by hand.

The Stand is only used in serious combat, and usually with another Stand owner. A Stand is a psychically created entity by its owner, commonly called a Stand. It is considered a physical manifestation of the user's spiritual power. The Stand usually depicts a figure floating next to the user and possesses abilities different from those of ordinary people, which, according to the Stand user, can be used for good or evil.

Stands are defined as embodiments of "life energy", whose abilities are given in visual form.

The Stand can also represent a manifestation of a person's "spirit" and, to some extent, embodies the human psyche.

Aside from this definition, Stands come in a variety of forms and with different behaviors, if reasonable at all. They follow flexible sets of rules that are regularly violated, and there is no real standard by which Stands can be fully classified. Such as the embodiment of psycho.

The Sex Pistols are a multiple Stand, consisting of six tiny bullets each with their own personality. They live inside a revolver, numbered 1 through 7, skipping the number 4, associating this appearance with Mista's tetraphobia. They all have teardrop-shaped heads, white eyes with black lines and small stripes running outward from the center, some of which appear cross-eyed. Their "clothing" consists of shirts with pointed shoulder pads, tight pants with legging-like knee pads, and shoes with toe caps that curve upward. Ironically, each has four fingers instead of five on each hand.

Each of the bullets has a different personality, but they all love to eat; if they are not fed, they will not work.

No.1: He is usually the first to be shot, and is often depicted as the leader of the group. Having the number 1 on his head, he is usually distinguishable by his cheerful attitude and the ridge markings that extend over his eyes. No.2: He seems the most mischievous, but he often works in tandem with No.1. The two have interacted a couple of times through a dap type of greeting. Aesthetically, No.2's eyes have a black bar running between them, giving the appearance of glasses. No.3: He is vicious and often shows a belligerent face. He commonly abuses No.5. No.5: The name order jumps to 'No.5', a shy crybaby who is constantly bullied by No.3. He is most often seen on the receiving end of some sort of harm, which is likely a reflection of Guido's dislike of his actual number. No.6: He is considered the most fearsome in appearance of the entire group, usually maintaining an angry face along with a V-shaped mark above his eyes. Unlike No.3, he never shows hostility towards others. No.7: He is similar to No.1 in appearance, and is known to take the initiative in a similar manner.

In his early childhood, one of Mista's neighbors adopted one kitten out of four, and he later learned that the kitten gouged out one of the neighbor's eyes. This resulted in Mista's fear of the number 4. Since his teenage years, Mista had been living on his own. He enjoyed a carefree life despite being broke most of the time. He enjoyed sleeping, watching the sunset and sunrise, and the smell of wine and food. When he saw attractive girls he would greet them warmly, and since he had no money he would hang around movie theaters and beat up passersby for their money and valuables. Occasionally, he would be caught by police officers and sent to jail. Overall, however, he enjoyed a pleasant life.

One night when Mista was seventeen years old, he was walking alone and saw a man beating up a woman in a car. It didn't seem to be a simple robbery and the woman was in bad shape, so Mista was forced to intervene. Considering Mista's personality, it was no surprise that he took action. He twisted the man's arm and pulled him out of the car, slamming his knee into his chest. The man looked like a normal bum, but there were two of the man's friends who were inside the car as well. The injured guy didn't want his friends to see him in such a pathetic state, and so he felt compelled to retaliate against Mista's attacks. The man pulled a gun out of his pocket and fired two shots, but no matter how close he got to Mista, all of his bullets missed.

The man began to panic and fired his gun even more rapidly, but still all the bullets missed. In their panic, the other two men pulled out their guns and fired at Mista as well. However, again, he was unaffected. It was at this moment that Mista somehow realized his unique ability. In between the gunshots, Mista picked up one of the men's guns and slowly collected the bullets and reloaded the gun. Then, with the attitude of an expert sharpshooter, he shot all three men in the face with perfect accuracy using four shots.

Mista was caught by the police and sentenced to fifteen to thirty years in prison. Even though he nearly lost his life and only killed the men in self-defense, no one believed that he could pick up and reload a gun during a crossfire without injuring himself, not to mention that reloading the gun showed his intent to kill the men. Mista, who had embraced life, began to wonder if he would really spend thirty years of his youth in prison. However, news of Mista's incident caught the attention of Bucciarati. He believed that Mista had a strong spirit and great skill with weapons, but he knew Mista would not last two years in prison. Using the gang's influence to change Mista's verdict, Bucciarati had Mista take a test of Polpo's arrow, and he passed.
