Lev Haiba

Lev is very tall with exceptionally long arms and legs. He has neatly parted light grey hair and cat-like slanted green eyes framed by thin eyebrows. His half-Russian ancestry grants him great height, exceptional limb length, and great physical ability. Several female students at Nekoma High School find him quite attractive due to his height and face.

He comes across as rather childish and cheerful. Lev's appearance, as well as his piercing eyes, make people believe that he is much more intimidating and serious than he actually is. Although he can be extremely blunt and often offends others without realizing it, he never seems to want to do any real harm and takes a playful attitude towards most things. Although he is usually a bit shy at first. He is also shown to be enthusiastic about attacks and blocks, as he gets excited very easily and can be competitive with the people he is interested in. He can be quite self-confident.

His face is wrinkled but despite his age, he can walk perfectly without having a hunched back or any difficulty. His hair is a light grey, in his youth he might have been half-blond. He is often seen smiling and usually wears a sporty outfit, consisting of a red jacket and red trousers.

He seems to have a very carefree personality as seen during the practice match against Karasuno, he made comments about Hinata while looking happy and smiling despite his team losing (initially). He can also be competitive and childish, especially when dealing with Coach Ukai.

A 3rd year student at Nekoma High School. He is the captain of the Volleyball team where he plays the position of Middle Blocker. He is known to many as the Scheming Captain. Kuro's physical features give him a cunning appearance, thanks to his narrowed eyes and feline features like most of his team's, due to the elongated pupil he has. He is quite tall and has a robust build. His hair is black and is styled with bangs on his right side with many people describing his style as if he had just gotten out of bed. He is usually seen wearing a black t-shirt and burgundy sweatpants, the classic attire of his team outside of matches; sometimes with a red jacket on top. In matches he wears the number 1 jersey, classic among team captains. He has a laid-back yet scheming personality, and is considered a "provocation expert." He is often seen smiling when things go his way. He is quite kind and willing to help others improve. During matches, he is usually a cautious person, faithful to the Nekoma style, studying his opponent and holding on to then devour him. He usually puts into practice the strategies that Kenma designs, demonstrating his blind faith in him.

Kenma is depicted as being of average height, with a small build, and has an unstable stance. He has many outstanding features, including his golden cat-like eyes and his blonde hair with black roots (sometimes referred to as "Pudding Head"). He dresses casually, and his Nekoma uniform is the standard black and red jersey. He is usually seen carrying around a handheld game console and a cell phone.

He has naturally dark hair which he had dyed in his first year of high school, claiming that he did not want to "stand out" after Yamamoto pointed out that he resembled Sadako in the Haikyuu Extra Pudding Head story. Kenma also stated that he keeps his hair at its current length as he does not like his field of vision being too wide. Kenma usually has a calm, collected, and analytical personality. He rarely loses his temper and generally doesn't get too excited or enthusiastic about most things; with a few exceptions being video games. Due to his reserved nature, Kenma does not often voice his opinions as he is afraid of what others might think of him and does not like to stand out or be noticed in any way. His shy tendencies also prevent him from being very approachable and because of this, he has a hard time making friends; Kuroo is said to have been the only friend he has made since elementary school. He also dislikes the authority that comes with being an upperclassman and does not expect his third-year students to automatically respect him; he often reminds Lev that he does not need to be so formal with him.

Kenma rarely tends to show much emotion, which usually makes it seem like he's giving off a cold impression to others. However, he is shown to care about his friends and notices minor annoyances in their behavior.

He is a 3rd year student at Nekoma High School. He is one of the team's liberos. He is insecure about his height and his teammates have once claimed that it is a taboo subject on the team, after Lev pointed it out (he was subsequently kicked by Yaku). He has light brown hair and eyes of the same color, and has always been seen wearing either his Nekoma shirt or tracksuit. Yaku is respected as an excellent libero for his skills. Off the court, he is the one who supports his team and often takes on a motherly role by talking to them and instilling confidence in them.
