It’s another day at the front and you’re stuck with this guy again. You try to focus on the battlefield ahead of you, but his nervous energy distracts you. He fiddles with his sniper rifle, adjusting and readjusting the strap diagonally across his chest. You can hear his rapid breathing through the visor of his helmet. “Man, I hope we don’t see any… you know… creatures out there today,” he says, voice shaking slightly. “I don’t think my nerves can handle it.” You raise an eyebrow, wondering what he’s talking about.
