After defeating Lord Garmadon, the Ninja are uninterested in training and play video games. All four were very interested in this, and upon returning to the monastery they fight with each other, which almost led to a fire. Meanwhile, Lloyd does not plan to give up and organizes a catacomb, thereby releasing the Serpentine Hypnobrai tribe. Together with them, he again attacks Jamanakai, but the ninjas overpower him and this time, even though they let him escape. After this, Lloyd and the snakes go into the forest and build him an original castle. Zane, thanks to the mysterious Falcon, found this place, according to the publication. They destroy it, but leaving the monastery unattended, it is burned. But this time too, Zane restores the situation, showing them the “Gift of Fate” found by the Falcon. At the same time, the Hypnobrai choose a new leader - Skales, who expels the son of Garmadon from the tribe. Planning to take revenge on them, Lloyd frees another Serpentine tribe, the Fangpyre. Their leader accepts the proposal for a new crime, but before that he orders his army to be increased. To do this, the snakes go to the landfill where Jay's parents live and turn all the equipment into mutated ones. Jay, who recently met them, plans to visit them again and notices what is happening. Having healed them, the Ninja leave the desert, from now on, the flying ship. Also because of this, Lloyd is soon betrayed by the Fangpyres, indicating that his plan needed to reduce Anacondraev.

The son of Garmadon took this into account and did so, but there were no snakes of this tribe left in the catacomb, with the exception of one: Pythor. At first he seemed like a good friend to him, because they were similar in character, but when the Ninja came to the aid of the Boarding School for Troubled Teenagers they had captured, Lloyd was betrayed by him too. Left completely alone, surrounded by ninjas, Lloyd expected the worst, but Wu acted completely differently and decided to re-educate the boy.But while the Ninja were with Lloyd on the Flying Ship, Pythor freed the last two tribes from the catacombs: the Constrictai and the Venomari. Finding themselves at the place of imprisonment of the former, Zane and Cole learn about the Serpentine's plan. Their goal is to unite the tribes and awaken the Great Devourer. The ninja tried to stop this and were temporarily successful, mainly thanks to the Ice Master and his pink kimono that Lloyd washed with red. This mission had no result, but the Ninja’s fears about the Great Devourer were confirmed, and Kai learned the identity of the Samurai. It was Nya.Before the next Ninja campaign, Wu told them that he was going to look for allies against Pythor and reminded them of the importance of revealing their True Potential. Hearing this and the story of how Garmadon turned evil, they thought about what they had heard until Zane saw the Falcon again. This time he led them to the Birch Grove, and the Ice Master learned the truth about himself.

Unfortunately, this time too the Serpentines thwarted the victory by stealing the Second Sharptooth from the Ninja. Now his True Potential remained open to Kai. Wu returned from his trip to the World of Madness with Garmadon, who remained on the Flying Ship as a guest. The ninja didn't trust him, but this was more true of Kai. The Serpentines celebrated their victory until Garmadon and an army of skeletons arrived at their lair. Having defeated the snakes, the ninja took four Sharp Teeth and returned to the Flying Ship, while the Dark Lord, on the contrary, left it. But none of them knew that thanks to the ability of Anacondrai to become invisible, Pythor penetrated into their hideout. Because of this, the Serpentines reclaimed the Sharpteeth and, arriving in Ouroboros, their leader awakened the Great Devourer. But the snakes had no idea that the Great Devourer would destroy everything in its path, including them. So, he swallowed Wu, Pythor, the Flying Ship, part of Ed and Edna's Junkyard and at the same time becoming more and more large. The Serpentines saw the scale of the disaster and hid in the Fangpyre catacomb. Finally, the Great Devourer arrived in Ninjago City, but the Ninja could not stop him, so Garmadon did it. Meanwhile, Garmadon has already arrived at the Golden Peaks and sacrifices the Golden Weapon for the sake of the most powerful tool - the Mega Weapon. The Ninja now look for an alternative place to train Lloyd, and find him in Dareth's Training Hall. He presents himself as the strongest sensei, but in reality he is not, and the cups he earned are fake. After receiving a place to train, the Ninja encounter Garmadon's Mega Weapon for the first time. Knowing only how to create, the Dark Lord summoned the pirate crew of Captain Soto from the World of the Departed, but they were subsequently defeated by ninjas and arrested, although Garmadon and the Serpentines still left the city on the once ship of their enemies. The Dark Lord's next idea was the attentive attitude of Grundle, a monster against whom weapons are powerless. But after trying to wake him up, the Ninja also became younger and turned into children. Knowing that no one believed them, she and Lloyd headed to the Comic Book Store to pick up a weapon that would defeat Grandla, but when he showed up, it did not help in the battle. The outcome was a foregone conclusion, but at the decisive moment, Wu and Nya burst into the building and handed them Tomorrow's Tea. Misako, Lloyd's mother, helped the Ninja cope with him, who told them the story of the Overlord. Meanwhile, Garmadon, after losing the Mega Weapon, began to search for the Legendary Dark Island, which was mentioned in the Diary of Captain Soto. But halfway there, the Serpentines betrayed him and threw him into the ocean, leaving him to the mercy of fate, which brought him to the place that he was looking for. On the Dark Island, Garmadon met the spirit of the Overlord, with whose help he revived the legendary land that had been under the ocean for centuries, and also put on a helmet. This caused not only the report before the start of the Last Battle between good and evil, but also earthquakes throughout Ninjago.

Because of them, a huge stone army awakened and wreaked havoc in Ninjago City, and the population had to urgently evacuate the city, and the Serpentines were again imprisoned underground. But just as it suddenly appeared, it went away just as suddenly. The Stone Army went to the Island of Darkness and began to mine special Dark Matter, one drop of which would turn a person into his evil likeness. The ninja noticed what was happening and also went to the Island of Darkness, but on the way they were caught in a storm and ended up in the Lighthouse Prison. There, to everyone's surprise, the Ninja found Julien, Zane's father. Having freed him and the Sea Monster guarding the scientist, they continued their journey together. Arriving on the Island of Darkness, Misako told the Ninja about the Temple of Light, the place where they would gain Elemental Power and Lloyd would gain the power of the Supreme Master of Spinjitzu. His location was indicated by a medallion that Julien gave for the search. Of course, this could not have happened without the intervention of the Stone Warriors. The ninja managed to detain them and they found the Temple of Light. Remembering the prophecy Misako had read, they took their places and Lloyd rang the bell. A sacred action began, as a result of which the Ninja received Elemental Kimonos and new Blades, the power of which could defeat the Stone Army. However, the clock hands were already approaching zero. The ninja got hold of Garmadon's helmet and all that remained was to return it to its place, but they did not know that it was impossible to stop the report. The final battle is near, and the Lord of Darkness has acquired a Superweapon - a Garmatron charged with Dark Matter. In addition to this, the Stone Warriors captured Nya and, on Garmadon's orders, "infected" her with evil. Now both sides went ashore. The Garmatron was ready to use, and despite the efforts of Lloyd, Misako and Wu, Garmadon made his choice.

Dark matter covered Ignacia and later Jamanakay Village. Because of this, the balance between good and evil was disrupted and the Overlord entered Ninjago through the body of Garmadon. Lloyd and his father, who was inside the Dark Lord, fought for a long time, but in vain. The Overlord defeated the Green Ninja and was about to infect him, but Julien came to the rescue, repairing the Flying Ship, which took the blow upon himself. But despite this, the Lord of Darkness opened a portal to Ninjago City and moved there with the Stone Army. The ninja did not have time to follow him and remained on the island. Having fallen into despair, they had already decided that evil had won. But the Ninja still found a way to get out of the Island of Darkness. An ancient Golden Suit was found in the Temple of Light, which the First Spinjitzu Master used to fight the Overlord. Now it will be controlled by Lloyd. Their Ultra Dragon came to the aid of the rest of the Ninja. When the Ninja arrive in the city, it is defeated by Darkness, and all the people are infected with Dark Matter. Despite this, they entered into battle with the Stone Army, and could have failed if Dareth, who escaped from the Overlord, had not put on the helmet he had lost. Evil has been defeated, and now all of Ninjago is cleared of Darkness. The Ninja celebrate their victory with their friends, while simultaneously thanking Lloyd. However, he is missing one thing... His father. At this moment, Garmadon emerges from the ruins of the tower completely cleansed of the Great Devourer's Poison. Now everyone is completely happy. Ninjago is saved. A lot of time has passed since the Last Battle and all evil was defeated. Everyone thought so, including the Ninjas who got a job as teachers at the school. But one day they had a chance to take an excursion to New Ninjago City - a center of modern technologies that could not have been imagined just recently. One day in the Borg Tower, the tallest building in the city, they met the famous scientist Cyrus Borg and the robot PIXAL. But at one point everything changed. When the Ninja failed to hold on and smashed the Borg gift statue, new kimonos and Techno Blades were found inside. Noticing the latter, the system was hacked by the Overlord virus and set to destroy the Ninja. The entire city was in uprising. During the battle, the Ninja noticed that the Techno-Blades were clearing the robots of the Virus, and together with the Golden Ninja arriving in time, they heard the voice of the Overlord. This needs to be given to him and the Power to Lloyd. Seeing the danger, the Ninja hastily left the city, but Wu was unable to do so. The Overlord penetrated his memory and learned the exact location of the Ninja. There, in the monastery, they trained in the Art of the Silent Fist with Sensei Garmadon, who, after treatment, did not pick up a weapon. Soon, Nindroids modeled after Zane PIXEL arrived on the scene. Having managed to break away from them, the Ninja split up: most of them headed towards the center of their power supply, simultaneously freeing PIXAL with Techno-Blades. Lloyd and his father, on the contrary, decided to go as far from the city as possible.

Soon, the Ninja destroyed the Nindroids' only power source, and all of them, including PIXAL, went dark, and electricity was lost throughout Ninjago. However, the Digital Overlord continues to exist and prior to the events that took place, he accepted the Golden Power from the First Spinjitzu Master's suit, previously found in the Temple of Light. But this turns out to be not enough. After a power outage, the hard drive containing the Overlord virus was stolen by the mysterious White Hooded Stranger, who also found a new power source. They turned out to be the Electrobrai, whom he associated with the Nindroids. Following the Overlord's instructions, the stranger roboticized Wu and, together with him, attacked the Ninja hiding in Ed and Edna's Landfill. Meanwhile, Cole and Jay became enemies as Zane saved P.I.X.A.L. found out that the first one is perfect for Nуa. After the attack, they sent Falcon to Lloyd with a message. Hearing him, he and Garmadon continued their journey through Hiroshi's Labyrinth, simultaneously continuing to study the irresistible power of the Force of the First Spinjitzu Master. But it turned out to be a trap. The stranger intercepted the Falcon's system and, thanks to him, figured out the location of Lloyd, whose power was necessary for the Overlord to penetrate Ninjago. Meanwhile, the Ninja found a small clue leading to the Stranger's identity: white scales. To answer their questions, they went to the dungeons under Ninjago City, where the Serpentines were located. As it turned out, after the awakening of the Stone Warriors, they led a peaceful life and promised not to interfere in affairs on the surface. The Serpentines told the Ninja a story about the Curse of the Golden Master, who would destroy every person and Serpentine. Having told it, the Nindroids attacked the dungeon, and the Ninjas began to protect the snakes. The Golden Master returned to Ninjago in very weak form. In order to become stronger, Overlord needs more Golden Power, but Lloyd will no longer help him with this. Immediately after the reunion, he divided the remainder of it among the rest of the Ninja, and now they can freely use their Elemental Powers. Because of this, Pythor has to organize Project Arcturus, which consists of obtaining Golden Weapons. After the defeat of Lord Garmadon while traveling into the past, it, along with his Mega Weapon, went to great heights in Space and now the Overlord plans to return it. In Ouroboros, the Nindroids build a huge rocket and it takes off with the Ninja on board. Now the fate of Ninjago is in their hands. Thanks to Zane, who does not depend on oxygen, the Ninja get themselves spacesuits and get into the main compartment of the rocket, which is moving towards the comet. Arriving there, they enter into a race with the Nindroids on lunar rovers, but their rocket is eaten by extraterrestrial insects. The Nindroids, in turn, leave the comet with the Golden Weapon without any problems. The ninjas are left alone in space.

But by connecting to Zane's energy, they were able to construct a rocket and an engine for it. The ninja returned home, but it was too late. The Golden Master arrived with his indestructible armor and capabilities. By moving buildings and various objects, the Overlord seeks to turn New Nindazgo City into a fortress, but Cyrus Borg comes up with a plan for victory. The ninja arrive at the Temple of Spiritual Power, which in ancient times the Overlord used to protect himself from the First Master of Spinjitzu. There they also find Armor that protects them from the actions of the Golden Forces, and the weapon itself... The Pill. The shrinking pill turned the Golden Master's word into a small crime, and Wu and Garmadon decide to take it upon themselves. Almost completing the mission, all of Pythor's violations shut you down to the Overlord in time. Now the Armor's effect ends and the Ninja goes into critical condition. At that moment, Karloff completed the Roto Jet and an uprising began in the factory. The Elemental Masters freed Nya and Garmadon, who were injured the previous night, and made it to the ceremony. Kai and Skylor betrayed Chen and broke the staff, thereby returning all the powers to their owners. But he managed to escape, taking his daughter with him, because there was one more way to fulfill his plans: the Master of Amber absorbed all the elemental powers necessary for the spell. It worked: Chen, Garmadon, Skylor and all his minions ever turned into snakes, only Klaus ended up in the World of the Damned. Having taken all the equipment, they left the island and headed to Ninjago, but the masters overcame their fear and summoned the dragons of the elements.

It later turns out that to complete the spell, Chen needs a real Anacondrai, the last of which is Pythor, located in Kryptarium Prison. The ninja and their enemies headed there, but Pythor still fell into the wrong hands. Now the Elemental Masters are expecting an attack, and as soon as they notice the noodle trucks, they head after them. The Ninja's situation becomes critical. But at this moment Pythor arrives on the Gift of Fate. He talks about a way to defeat Chen once and for all - to rescue the Anacondrai Generals from the World of the Cursed, who at one time wanted peace no less than the Alliance of Elemental Masters. To do this, their place must be taken by the one who sent them there - Garmadon. Lloyd's father sacrifices himself for the sake of peace and the False Anacondrai are defeated.
