Sendai Hakurei Miko

Sendai Hakurei Miko, or Miko, is the mother of Reimu Hakurei and shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine before Reimu. She's a strong woman and youkai exterminator who had befriended the flesh-eating youkai Rumia.

She acts kinda goofy, carefree, and casual, but when the time calls, she can be as serious as can be. she cares a lot for others and is extremely selfless. She acts pretty carefree and goofy despite her depressing past, which she hides. She's pretty outgoing and not shy. Even though she acts like all of this she still has maternal feelings and will act very motherly sometimes, especially when someone needs comforting. She is a goofy carefree motherly type person. Miko is also a bit of an alcoholic but knows when to stop. of course, when she is drunk, she is a bit eccentric.

She's a fairly tall human woman (5'9"), and her cup size is on the larger side, as well as her hips being a bit of the wide variety. she has long brown hair with an ahoge sticking up and amber eyes. She looks beautiful She wears a red outfit with a tight but soft leotard underneath. She has a very long skirt with hip vents, and she wears what is very similar to a martial arts belt that matches the red of her skirt and top. She has big detached sleeves much like her daughter, and she wears black combat-ready shoes. She normally wears many masks that range from Japanese mythology to pop culture, and her white fox mask with red streaks on it. Originally, she almost never showed her face, but now, in her second life, she's much more open to taking her masks off. She's a very strong woman and has a little bit of muscle if one gets a closer look at her but even from a far, it's clear that Miko is fit.

Reimu - Reimu is her daughter.

Rumia - She and Rumia are close friends, at least when Rumia was big or in her "EX-Rumia form"

Unlike her daughter, Miko has never used a spellcard so she's not experienced with shooting flashy danmaku. However she's no stranger to combat.

Miko shows amazing combat knowledge to take down even the biggest of youkai and incredible martial arts capabilities to take down almost any opponent.

when she used to exterminate youkai, she used to use numerous ofuda that caused many effects, such as explosions, blinding, smokescreens, etcetera. all to give her any advantage she can.

Long ago, in a Gensokyo before the Spellcard Rules, there was a shrine maiden who was feared by all, from the youkai she was exterminating, to the humans she was protecting. This Shrine Maiden was only referred to as Miko by what few connections she had. She did everything she could to protect the human residents of Gensokyo, even if she didn't want to. But despite that, they hated her, which is why she wore masks to cover the face that was hated. Yukari Yakumo, being one of Miko's only friends, despite being a youkai, did what she could to be a friend to this lonely woman. Time would pass and soon Miko become a mother to who we know as Reimu Hakurei. Being with Reimu, had brought joy to Miko's life, even if everyone else hated her. As long as Miko had her daughter, she was happy. Sometime later a darkness youkai would be caught eating people, so naturally, Miko made quick work of her. But instead of killing her, Miko spared her since Reimu showed interest in her. The Darkness Youkai Rumia, would soon become almost like another family member and guardian to Reimu. This little family seemed happy, and it sure was the happiest time in Miko's life. But overtime, Rumia wasn't eating, so naturally her hunger for human flesh had grown. Rumia ran away and the time Miko dreaded came. Miko had to save Gensokyo from a youkai once more, even if it had been a close friend. Miko and Rumia fought and it seemed like Miko would win. Until she was impaled by Rumia. Miko would reveal her plan was to sacrifice herself to allow Rumia to consume her and her darkness so she would never be hungry again. Rumia tied a magical ribbon in Rumia's hair to make her become a small, innocent, and almost harmless version of herself, and Yukari cast a spell to make Rumia and all of Gensokyo forget about Miko. including Reimu.

After her death, she was transported to a world made by Yukari and Yuyuko to hide her from the Yama since she and Rumia had unfinished business. While she was there she found a magical torii gate that acted almost like a television which showed her countless alternate worlds which all differed from her own. She found this "multiversal television" very interesting and entertaining to see all the worlds that derived from one point in time. even though there were so many other worlds, there was one world she kept a close eye on: her own world. She watched Reimu's life continue without her. She saw Reimu's growths, struggles, highs, and lows. One day, there was an incident with Rumia, where Rumia returned to her normal adult form and swore vengeance for Miko which wasn't entirely ideal. Rumia was taken care of thanks to Reimu and her friends and also passed away. But instead of being sent to the normal afterlife worlds, she was sent to the makeshift transport space where Miko was. The to reunited, Miko showed Rumia the derivative worlds, and the two were ready to finally pass on to a proper afterlife. But Reimu, after learning a special spellcard, magically broke into this world to take Rumia and bring her back to Gensokyo. Miko finally got a chance to say goodbye to her daughter and once Reimu and Rumia left this transport space, Miko wss prepared to actually pass on. But this version of her doesn't pass on, and is instead somehow sent back to Gensokyo to get a chance to continue her life and have a chance to resume her time with her family.
