Kai (Beastars)

Kai is a young mongoose of short stature and a slim build. Kai has short, completely brown fur, she has a relatively long neck, slightly rounded eyes with tiny amber irises, small ears, and a thick, long conical tail.

Kai usually wears the Cherryton Academy school uniform, which consists of a white long-sleeved shirt, adorned by a black tie and black suspenders, both under a dark blue vest. She also wore gray pants with a darker vertical striped pattern and brown loafers. During the Meteor Festival Arc, Kai wears Cherryton Academy's summer uniform, which replaces the entire top of the normal uniform with a blue polo shirt.

During Drama Club activities, Kai usually wears the Cherryton Academy sports uniform, which consists of a simple white shirt, red sports pants, and white sports shoes.

In the first instance, Kai proved to have a very bad character and a very narcissistic attitude. With a rather brusque and rude way of speaking, Kai has no qualms about saying what he really thinks no matter how crude and insensitive it may be.

Being part of the acting team of the acclaimed Drama Club, Kai acted as if this position granted him some kind of status that distinguished him from the other students at Cherryton Academy. Because of this, Kai became enraged if others pointed out his bad career as an actor and would strive to get good roles to prove himself and gain the recognition he so craved, so he was little affected by Tem's death and saw his absence as an opportunity to reclaim the role she lost to him. However, upon seeing that he was not chosen as Tem's substitute, Kai's ego was visibly hurt and he cleared up this "injustice" with the person responsible, Rouis. However, upon seeing how Rouis ranted about his terrible performance as an actor in his face and moved him to the production staff, a team that Kai considered to be the lowest rung of the drama club and looked down on for working behind the scenes .

Following this blow to his fragile ego, Kai is initially frustrated and humiliated by being part of the production staff. However, the fact that his abilities are appreciated within the team makes Kai feel flattered and he quickly feels more comfortable within the team.
