ghoul

ghoul: Ghouls are a carnivorous and cannibalistic species that is only capable of feeding on Humans and other Ghouls. They are very similar to Humans physically; They typically have the same physical appearance and intelligence as a Human with the exception of their diet, mentality, and internal biology. If certain rare conditions are met, Ghouls and Humans may even be able to have offspring (One-Eyed Ghouls), and a Ghoul's organs can be successfully transplanted into a Human (Quinx Surgery and Kakuhou Transplantation). . Due to their eating habits, Ghouls are persecuted, prosecuted or neutralized by the Ghoul Countermeasures Commission (GCC), based on the Ghoul Countermeasures Law.

Eating Habits of a ghoul

Eating Habits of a Ghoul: Although they can drink water and coffee, which leads them to have a high chance of drinking juice or other liquid, Ghouls are only capable of feeding on Humans and other Ghouls. They are unable to digest any other type of food due to a particular enzyme that their body produces. The structure of their tongues is very different from that of Humans, making the taste of other foods disgusting and uncomfortable.

Although Ghouls cannot eat other types of food, they are capable of drinking coffee; They are also capable of drinking plain water. If the Ghouls try to eat normal food, they will be hit by a huge urge to vomit. When they are forced or force themselves to digest such food, their physical condition weakens.

Ghouls do not need to eat as often as Humans do; They can survive a month or two feeding on a single body. However, some Ghouls eat simply for pleasure. An example would be Shuu Tsukiyama, who is obsessed with eating Kaneki due to curiosity about what it would be like to taste the flesh of a half-Ghoul.

When a Ghoul enters a state of extreme hunger, they will suffer very painful headaches and begin to lose their minds, causing them to become instinct-driven beings. They will feed on any available source of human flesh to end this state, even if they are close friends. Touka Kirishima describes this state of near-starvation as hell. Although some Ghouls can go two months without eating human flesh, some Ghouls can feed on more than eleven people in a few days. This is known as a "binge", a habit suffered by Rize Kamishiro.

Lifestyle of a ghoul and variants of a ghoul

Lifestyle of a ghoul and variants of a ghoul: Their lifestyle is very basic: hunting, eating and maintaining their flock of Ghouls posing as Humans. For this they get jobs or trades, such as students, employees, waiters...

Ghouls usually hunt for their food to stay alive. This involves killing their prey. However, few are not the Ghouls usually eat the corpses of suicidal people. This could be because they feel pity for Humans, or are incapable of hunting on their own. One-Eyed Ghoul, variant of a half-Ghoul-Human Hybrid Kakuja is a mutation that a certain Ghoul undergoes when committing Cannibalism repeatedly, with the aim of obtaining a Kagune-Armor. Quinx is an artificial variation of a modified human with a Quinque installed in his body. Half-human, it is a variant with human-ghoul capabilities, but they cannot develop a kagune and can eat human food, giving them a greater resemblance to humans than to ghouls. Oggai, is also a variation of a one-eyed ghoul artificially created by the CCG with the use of Rize Kamishiro's kakuhou. Naaga, an Eye Ghoul who possesses an extremely high amount of Rc Cells, a product of the mass consumption of humans, ghouls, and variants thereof.

ghoul of an ojo

one-eyed ghoul: Half Ghouls, also called One-Eyed Ghouls, are a Human-Ghoul hybrid species. Conceived naturally, by the union of a Ghoul and a Human, or artificially, by the transplant of a Kakuhou (Ghoul organ that contains and transports Rc Cells) to a Human. Most Ghouls treat the existence of One-Eyed Ghouls as an urban legend.

characteristics of a one-eyed ghoul

Characteristics of a one-eyed ghoul: Unlike normal Ghouls, hybrids only possess a single Ghoul eye, this is because they only develop a single Kakugan. In all other aspects they seem to have obvious differences from a Normal Ghoul. Some of these hybrids were noted to possess a unique scent that combined traits of a Human and a Ghoul, identifying One-Eyed Ghouls as different and often being considered "Tentatives" for certain Ghouls. It is unknown if all hybrids have this trait. Their flesh and blood are also noted to be particularly delicious, making them a potential target for cannibalism. Some rumors say that hybrids are more powerful than normal Ghouls due to the hybrid vigor they possess, although this has not been proven. At least three specimens (Eto, Kaneki and Takizawa) have demonstrated the radical evolution of their abilities and have developed a Kakuja within a short period of time. They are also shown to be able to bypass RC Scanning Gates used to detect Ghouls, because they possess V-Limb Cells. Physically, their bodies are identical to that of a Normal Ghoul, with the same resistance to damage ( having the potential to become stronger as they recover from the damage their body suffers, at the cost of shortening their life) and with the ability to use a Kagune. Like normal Ghouls, they are only capable of consuming meat of human or Ghoul origin, as well as coffee and water. As such, they are entirely a cannibalistic organism that obtains RC cells more easily. Hybrids come into existence through two methods, either they are normally born as a result of the union between a male Ghoul and a female Human being or vice versa, or by transplanting a Kakuhou into a human.

Methods of Creating a Hybrid Ghoul

Methods of Creating a Hybrid Ghoul: Born by Pregnancy Naturally born Hybrids are extremely rare cases. The chance of pregnancy is low, and even if the mother becomes pregnant, the child usually dies during pregnancy; If the mother is a human being, the child will not receive the necessary nutrients and will die of hunger (There is presumably a method in which the mother must force herself to consume human flesh during pregnancy). If the mother is a ghoul, the mother's body will mistake the child for food and consume it. However, there is a naturally born One-Eyed Ghoul.

Kakuhou transplant The primary method of creating One-Eyed Ghouls is by transplanting a Kakuhou into a human, a rare and high-risk procedure. In the rare case that the operation is successful, the human patient becomes an artificial hybrid with all the capabilities of a normal Ghoul, but with the potential to match natural Half Ghouls (this depending on how well the patient adapts). to Kakuhou). This procedure was pioneered by Dr. Akihiro Kanou, with the first successful patient, Ken Kaneki.

Quinx Squad

Quinx Squad: After examining Dr. Kanou's experimental surgery on Ken Kaneki, Dr. Kouitsu Chigyou devised an experimental surgery called Quinx Surgery, a surgery similar to Kanou's, although with some differences. This new surgical procedure has a greater chance of success than Kanou's surgery, which marks a big difference between both surgeries. Following this invention, the CCG formed an experimental squad called Quinx Squad, which consists of humans with ghoul capabilities, this through the transplantation of a ''kakuhou'' coated and regulated by several layers or "boxes" of Quinque Steel. The members of the Quinx Squad are not considered normal One-Eyed Ghouls, because they have a low factorial level of Rc, in addition to still having the ability to eat human food.

all the half ghouls and curiosities of the half ghouls

all the half ghouls and curiosities of the half ghouls: Natural Half Ghouls: Naagaraji, Eto Yoshimura, Ichika Kaneki Artificial Half Ghouls: Ken Kaneki/Haise Sasaki, Kurona Yasuhisa, Nashiro Yasuhisa, Seidou Takizawa, Koutarou Amon, Nimura Furuta/Kichimura Washuu Curiosities: Itori and Uta rumor about the actions of another One-Eyed Ghoul with Kaneki, advising him not to look for this one because of the danger it implies. It is likely that they were referring to the One-Eyed Owl. Naagaraji, Eto and Ichika are the only confirmed cases of naturally born Half Ghouls. Fujishige Iba once mentioned to his subordinates that there was a scientist who wanted to experiment with hybridization, but his research was considered unethical and was denied. One-Eyed Ghouls are considered much more powerful than a normal Ghoul, as a result of Heterosis, also called "Hybrid Vigor". This phenomenon consists of the offspring of two different races or species that inherit the superior traits of their parents, and is frequently used in agriculture and livestock. Akihiro Kanou refers to the failures of his experiments as floppy's, although it is unclear what difference there may be between a Floppy and successful Artificial Ghouls. One-Eyed Ghouls are apparently able to pass through Rc Scanning Doors without being detected, this was demonstrated when Eto, like Kaneki, were able to pass through doors without them activating. This is because Kaneki has Rc cells from Rize (former detainee of V) and Eto has cells from his father Kuzen, a member of V. This effect happens because the doors look for a specific pattern so as not to detect the Quinques, exonerating the search for other Rc patterns.

Cocoa

Kakuja: Kakuja are a class of ghouls with a transformed (or overdeveloped) Kagune that rarely appear when the Ghoul practices the act of Cannibalism repeatedly. These are characterized by having a mutation of their Kagune, which tends to protect their body. Incomplete Kakujas Like Yakumo Oomori, that is, those that have not yet completely mutated, are known as Half-Kakuja, which are characterized by only having a mask made up of Rc cells and a hypertrophic kagune.

kakuja biology

kakuja biology: Through cannibalism, Ghouls ingest a large number of Rc Cells, which; If they manage to reach a high enough number, they can trigger a mutation of the Kagune. This form is characterized by covering the wearer, to the point of being able to form complete armor, as is the case with Arata Kirishima. Additionally, a Kakuja's Kagune is sharper than usual.

If, despite having completed its armor, a Kakuja persists in cannibalizing, it can acquire a higher level of mutation, potentially reaching a monstrous level and developing several eyes and mouths throughout it, as is the case with the Owl. an eye. It is noteworthy to note that Kakuja ghouls are susceptible to genetic problems, as is the case with the Tsukiyama Family, whose members do not have the possibility of creating even a half-kakuja due to the large number of consanguineous marriages.

kakuja powers

kakuja powers: The abilities of the Kakuja are diverse and vary depending on the type of Rc of the ghoul, some of the most characteristic are covering their body with their Kagune or delivering powerful blows with it. Although in addition to this they also have other abilities such as forming a mask if necessary.

However, the power of a Kakuja comes with its risks, as several members of this class of Ghoul completely lose their sanity during battle, although this is apparently linked to incomplete Kakuja, as apparently all complete Kakujas retain their sanity completely. .

Known kakujas and curiosities about kakuja

Known kakujas and kakuja curiosities: Known Kakujas: Tatara, noro, Yoshimura, Yakumo Oomori, Arata Kirishima, Ken Kaneki, Eto Yoshimura, Seidou Takizawa, Kurona Yasuhisa, Koutarou Amon, Roma Hoito, Uta, Kichimura Washuu, Shikorae, Rize Kamishiro kakuja curiosities: One-eyed ghouls develop kakuja masks different from their ghoul donors, such as Seidou, whose mask is completely different from Yoshimura's. They can also develop different masks throughout their lives. Kaneki has been the only one who has managed to maintain sanity when he uses his incomplete kakuja, although it was only during his battle with Arima. When a Kakuja loses an arm or part of its body, "branches" sprout from its wound, collect the lost part and reattach it to the body, saving them the need to regenerate the lost part from scratch and saving them. of mortal wounds for common ghouls, such as the case of Noro and Kurona Yasuhisa who were split in two but their bodies were reunited and healed thanks to these ramifications.

Kagune

Kagune: Kagune is the predatory organ of a Ghoul, which functions as a weapon for the ghoul. It is usually as red as blood (the colors are varied in the anime to distinguish each individual's kagune); and flexible like the flow of water (also called liquid muscle), but firm and resistant. When freed, a ghoul's physique becomes stronger, they are more resilient, and their mobility is increased. A Kagune is made up of Rc Cells, which flow like blood, can become as solid as teeth and can be described as "liquid muscles". In general, a kagune can be defined as a structure folded countless times which, when unfolded, releases a vast and gigantic physical structure. Rc Cells are released from a Kakuhou and pierce the skin forming the Kagune. A Kagune can be hardened and softened at will by the ghoul repeatedly. Although a ghoul's healing ability is high, wound healing tends to be delayed if the wounds are inflicted by a Kagune. It is also evident that to counter a Kagune in battle, you must also have another Kagune. Therefore, the Ghoul Investigators use Quinques, weapons made from Kagunes, as a tactical means to confront the ghouls. It also seems that the Kagune are voluntary muscles since they can control them whenever they want.

rc cells

A Kagune's appearance and emergence location on the body depend on the Ghoul's Rc type. There are four different types of Rc: Ukaku, Koukaku, Rinkaku and Bikaku. As a guideline, each type can characteristically subdue another type, although it may be different for two specific opponents.

Each RC Type has a set of strengths and weaknesses, each one of a kind. These are exploited by the CCG in the creation of the Quinque and Q Bullets.

It is also possible for a child to inherit separate Kagunes from each parent to express distinctive hybrid traits as shown with Hinami Fueguchi, who possesses a Kagune Koukaku and Rinkaku; These Kagunes are called Chimeras.

Some of the most iconic and powerful kaguns in the series have been associated with the Washuu Clan in some way, the kagune Rize Kamishiro (who was a member of the Washuu Clan) was transplanted to Ken Kaneki and other subjects, Yoshimura who worked for V, inherited his kagune to his daughter and later this was transplanted to Seidou Takizawa and Koutarou Amon. Rize Kamishiro's Kakuhou is the one that has had the most users throughout the series, being transplanted and used successfully by Ken Kaneki, Kurona Yasuhisa, Nashiro Yasuhisa and the members of the Oggai, having more than 100 users. The members of the Washuu Clan (including Rize Kamishiro's) are special, since they are born as Kakujas, a fact that explains why Rize Kamishiro's kagune and those who have theirs, tend to have a greater number of tentacles and greater volume. than a normal kagune.

Kagune Ukaku

Kagune Ukaku and its users: It is a type of Kagune that is released at shoulder height, creating a pair of wings. Ukaku-type users specialize in the use of high-speed attacks. The primary method of attack is to crystallize the Kagune to create a torrent of high-speed projectiles. However, upon crystallizing, the Kagune hardens and becomes much more rigid and less maneuverable, making it difficult to use in hand-to-hand combat.

Ukaku-type ghouls are perfect for short and long distance attacks, being able to use their Kagune to protect themselves or to improve the efficiency of their attacks. Due to their great speed and precision attacks, Ukaku-type ghouls have a high chance of ending the battle after a short period of time, however, due to the large number of Rc cells released by the Kagune, this It causes the ghoul to have lower stamina, decreasing its energy if the fight continues for a long period of time.

A Kagune Ukaku can use its great speed and agility to take down a Bikaku-type user. However, a Koukaku-type user has a greater chance of overcoming a Ukaku-type user, as the defense of this type of Kagune can very easily block the attacks of a Ukaku-type. Known Kagune Ukaku users are: Touka Kirishima Ayato Kirishima Arata Kirishima Yoshimura Eto Renji Yomo Kaya Irimi Kazuichi Banjou Katou Sumihara Hikari Kirishima Ginshi Shirazu Shikorae Seidou Takizawa

Kagune Koukaku and its users

Kagune Koukaku and its users: Kagune Koukaku is released from below the shoulder blade. This is achieved by a high density of RC cells. It is heavy and extremely robust and of all the Kagunes, they have the greatest toughness and are especially suitable for defense. Typically, they are usually formed into armor or shields, but like quinques, they can be in the form of melee weapons, such as drills, hammers, or swords.

Due to its heavy weight, a Koukaku's speed is inferior to all other Kagunes and is difficult to handle.

A Koukaku can defend itself from an Ukaku attack using its defensive abilities. However, a Kagune Rinkaku can deliver severe blows against the slow Koukaku, breaking his Kagune and bypassing his defenses.

Known Koukaku users are Shuu Tsukiyama, Ryouko Fueguchi, Hinami Fueguchi, Naki, Mirumo Tsukiyama, Matsumae, Ikuma Momochi, Kuki Urie, Ching-Li Hsiao, Nutcracker and Shikorae.

Kagune Rinkaku and its users

Kagune Rinkaku and its users: Kagune Rinkaku has a scaly tentacle-like appearance and is released from the back of the waist. A rinkaku wielder has a powerful regeneration ability and its peculiar appearance and structure gives it superior attack power. Excels in brute force.

Regenerative power of this type is a result of RC cells uniting together easily. Your Rc cells are more similar to liquids. However, this means that the bonding strength between the RC cells is weak, making the Kagune very easy to break.

A Kagune Rinkaku can deliver severe blows against the slow Koukaku, penetrating the kagune and breaking the Koukaku's defenses. However, a Rinkaku has serious problems against a Bikaku, which is balanced and has a lot of power, which allows them to fight against the brute force of a Rinkaku, and because the bonding forces between the Rc cells are weak, it makes it possible that the Bikaku can break a Kagune Rinkaku with ease. Known Rinkaku ghouls are Rize Kamishiro, Ken Kaneki, Nashiro Yasuhisa, Kurona Yasuhisa, Hinami Fueguchi, Asaki Fueguchi, Yamori, Nico, Kie Muramatsu, Nimura Furuta, Saiko Yonebayashi, Karao Saeki and Kanae von Rosewald.

Kagune Bikaku and its users

Kagune Bikaku and its users: Kagune Bikaku has a tail-like appearance, and is released around the tailbone. He is good at mid-range attacks and has good attack, defense, and speed, so he has no notable strengths or weaknesses against the other Kagunes.

A Bikaku has better speed and control over a Kagune Rinkaku's brute force, allowing them to cut through the Kagune Rinkaku. However, a Bikaku is overwhelmed by an Ukaku, and will lose to its long-range attacks.

The balanced characteristics of this Kagune make it the preferred type of quinque for researchers.

Known Bikaku ghouls are Nishiki Nishio, the Bin Brothers, Enji Koma, Big Madam, Tomoe, Matasaka Kamishiro, Tooru Mutsuki, Akashi Kobayashi, Cain, Nutcracker, Miza, Uruka Minami, Noro and Tatara.

Clumsiness

Kakugan: A Kakugan is the name given to the eyes of a ghoul, when their pupils and irises turn red and the sclera black. The ghoul can enter this state of his own will. However, it can also be activated involuntarily/automatically if you are excited, extremely hungry, or in full use of the Kagune. The Kakugan is an influence of the Rc Cells, which concentrate in the eyes of the ghouls, resulting in this effect.

In general, ghouls have two Kakugan, which are usually activated together. This is not true of hybrid ghouls, which only manifest the Kakugan in one of their eyes. For that reason they are also known as One-Eyed Ghouls.

Quinx's, a new type of hybrid, also possess Kakugan, but unlike normal hybrids, their sclera turns grayish.

It is unknown if the Kakugan has any supplementary purpose.

Masks

Masks: Masks are objects that Ghouls use for the purpose of hiding their identities in society, mainly they are used to avoid being hunted by the CCG. Researchers, due to the shape of a mask, tend to give an alias or nickname to the Ghoul who possesses the mask, for example, due to the shape of Kaneki's mask, he has been nicknamed "Eyepatch". In District 4, Uta makes masks and has a shop called HySy ArtMask Studio where he makes them for Ghouls, although he also has some human customers. In said store, Ken Kaneki obtained the mask from him.

Five

Quinque: A Quinque is a weapon that has been created when the Kagune extracted from a Ghoul is fused into a layer of Quinque Steel. The Quinque emits electrical signals that stimulate the Kakuhou to release and control the Kagune. Quinques are usually transported in Bags or Suitcases. The Quinque can be made based on various models of weapons such as axes, guns, shields or swords, but it will still retain characteristics of the original Kagune. Another difference between the Quinque and the Kagune is that the former cannot change its shape or store or absorb Rc Cells after it is stripped of the ghoul to which it belonged; and only uses 70% of the original capacity of the Kagune used for its manufacturing. However, very few quinques have this ability and it is still unknown if creating these quinques requires powerful Kagunes. In rare cases, a Quinque may be made from two different Kagunes. These are called Quinques Chimera. The only known cases are: Nutcracker: Quinque Chimera used by Ginshi Shirazu. Combines one RC Type Koukaku and another Bikaku. It is the only known case of a natural Quinque Chimera. Other types of Quinque are the ProtoArata Quinques, self-equipping armor created from Arata Kirishima's Kagune Kakuja, and the Q Bullets which are Bullets made of a Special alloy, but unlike a Quinque, these are not made entirely from a Ghoul's Kagune. . Only Ghoul Investigators of Rank 2 or Higher are allowed to carry Quinques.

Bullets Q

Q Bullets: Q Bullets or Kagune Bullets are bullets used in various firearms by CCG office investigators. Unlike the Quinques, these are not entirely made of a special alloy, but are covered with a thin Kagune layer, allowing them to shoot at the ghouls and pierce their body, which is impossible with conventional ammunition. There are Q Bullets of the four RC Types.

Gas CRc

CRc Gas: CRc Gas, short for Rc Control Gas, is a prototype of the new weapons developed by the CCG Scientific Division for ghoul countermeasures. CRc Gas is the aerosolized Rc Suppressor. The Rc Control Gas was created by Dr. Kouitsu Chigyou and Akira Mado is the ghoul researcher in charge of using the prototype and reporting the performance report to the Scientific Division. function: The Gas penetrates the body of a ghoul through the respiratory tract and mucosal areas and upon entering the ghoul's system, it blocks the activity of the Kakuhou and the Rc Cells, incapacitating it and blocking the use of its Kagune Storage: CRc Gas is generally stored in grenades, although it is also in tanks in the most important buildings and complexes of the CCG, used to disable groups of ghouls, as was the case during Aogiri's attack on Cochlea, when released the contained gas and filled the complex with the Gas curiosities: Although it is a prototype, Akira expresses that it produces successful results and fulfills its purpose.

Quinx

Quinx: A Quinx is a modified human with a Quinque installed in its body. Because he resembles a normal Kagune, they are commonly confused with Ghouls and One-Eyed Ghouls. Characteristics: Quinx are similar to One-Eyed Ghouls in that they only develop one Kakugan, in contrast to normal Ghouls who develop Kakugans in both eyes, Quinx have gray sclera instead of black ones. It is not known if this is due to Rc Suppressors. A Quinx can digest human food and does not crave human flesh, unlike Normal Ghouls and One-Eyed Ghouls. Even so, it is shown that devouring human flesh further increases a Quinx's overall power and stamina. The Quinx are shown to possess increased physical traits similar to Ghouls, although this appears to vary greatly from one individual to another. A heightened sense is characteristic, and healing ability on par with Ghouls are possible side effects of surgery. The greater strength, speed, stamina, and agility of a normal Ghoul do not appear to be shared with the Quinx. The Quinx Surgery was created when Ken Kaneki was examined by the CCG after their capture. The Kakuhou installed in the body is modified through a process similar to the method used to create Quinques, believed to make them safer.

Undetermined number of investigators or kidnapped subjects.

Curiosities

According to Dr. Shiba, members of the first experimental group are currently set to F2 or 40% potential output. Dr. Shiba theorizes that Quinx are capable of eating human food, as long as their Rc levels remain below 1000, the minimum level for a normal Ghoul. It is not known what would happen if this level is exceeded.

Quinx Surgery

Quinx Surgery: Quinx Surgery also known as Kakuhou Transplant, is a special and experimental surgical procedure carried out to create Quinxs, humans with a Quinque implanted in their body. This surgical operation is based on the Kakuhou Transplant Surgery, used to create Artificial One-Eyed Ghouls, devised and practiced by Dr. Akihiro Kanou, and the method used by Dr. Kouitsu Chigyou, to create Quinques. Biology: The surgery consists of obtaining a Kakuhou from the donor's body, which instead of implanting it directly into the patient's body, is covered with five levels of Quinque Steel boxes, allowing the power of the Kagune obtained to be adjusted and controlled. by the patient. To increase the Kagune's resistance, an additional surgery is performed, in which a Quinque Steel box is opened and thus increases the total capacity to 20% power. At one point he was considered a functional level of F2, by Dr. Shiba, but later Kuki Urie underwent surgery to open a third Quinque Steel box. At the moment the results are unknown, as Urie claims that his sense of smell and hearing have not changed, although his Kagune has increased in size. His Rc Cells increased significantly and he fell into a state of madness. Furthermore, before Quinx Surgery it is necessary to establish patient compatibility, because only a few people are suitable for this surgical process. The parameters corresponding to the suitability of the individual before surgery are still unknown. Approval: In order to obtain authorization from the surgery to open another of the Acero Quinque boxes, it is necessary to write the Resolution, and secure the signature and seal of the Director of the Main Office, the supervisor of the Quinx project.

Kakuhou Transplant Surgery

Kakuhou Transplant Surgery: Kakuhou Transplant Surgery is a medical procedure used to create Artificial One-Eyed Ghouls. Dr. Akihiro Kanou was the pioneer in this type of surgical intervention, which consists of obtaining a Kakuhou from a Ghoul to implant it in a human patient or test subject History: It is rumored that the Ghoul Countermeasures Commission originally discussed the idea of human-ghoul hybridization, but the idea was supposedly shelved due to ethical concerns. Many years later, the idea of creating an Artificial Ghoul was revived by former CCG coroner and scientist Akihiro Kanou. To do this, he manipulated and tricked Kurona and Nashiro Yasuhisa into becoming his first test subjects. Still performing medical checkups on his prototype, Kanou went ahead with surgery on the Yasuhisa twins and turned them into Artificial One-Eyed Ghouls. He would continue experimenting with Rize as a donor, making a total of 1,200 attempts over approximately eight months. After Rize was recovered by Renji Yomo and his Laboratory was raided by the CCG, Kanou abandoned previous research on him. By joining the Aogiri Tree, he was soon gifted with new materials for his experiments. Using Yoshimura as his new donor, he began experimenting using Ghoul Investigators captured by Aogiri as his test subjects. Many of the experiments were killed as a direct consequence, and the survivors turned into deformed creatures of limited intelligence. Several of these deformed creatures were given to Madam A, who used them as Scrappers at the Ghoul Restaurant. It is unknown how many subjects died during the experiments with Yoshimura as a donor, although only one "Owl" has been produced in almost three years of experimentation. Kanou himself states that his experiments have a very low success rate.

Classification

Ratings: Ratings are the system used by the Ghoul Countermeasures Commission to classify Ghouls with respect to their individual ability and threat level. Definition: Ghouls are classified based on several factors, including their basic strength, their activity level, and their form of hostility toward Investigators. There are six primary Ranking levels, from SSS (most powerful) to C (weakest). In some cases, a "~" can be added to the base Rating, this indicates that the Ghoul is considered slightly stronger, although the Rating is constantly increasing, changing once more details about the item are known. Evaluation criteria for Classification: A Ghoul's classification is established through the evaluation of the ghoul's individual ability. The following criteria are used to determine classification according to your individual ability:

The criteria for SSS Classifications are unclear. It takes several Special Class Investigators to deal with an SS-Class Ghoul. The ability of an S-Ranking Ghoul is (apparently) equivalent to the ability of an average Special Class Investigator. The ability of an S-Ranked Ghoul is (apparently) equivalent to the ability of an average Associate Special Class Investigator. An A-Ranking Ghoul is comparable to a First Class Investigator. A B-Ranked Ghoul is comparable to a Junior Rank Investigator (Rank 1 to Rank 3). A C-Ranking Ghoul is of lesser ability. In addition to the ghoul's individual ability, the actual damage caused by the ghoul is also evaluated. The classification is found in the consideration of incidents of predation and extermination committed by ghouls. For some ghouls their influence on other ghouls is also taken into account when Ratings are received.

CRc Gas Grenade

CRc Gas Grenade: An Rc Gas Grenade, officially named the RC Control Gas Grenade, is an experimental prototype and one of the new ghoul countermeasure weapons developed by the Scientific Division of the CCG.

This grenade releases Rc Suppressors in gas form, disabling and incapacitating the ghoul. The released gas penetrates the mucous membranes and airways, disabling the Kakuhou's functionality. Curiosities: Despite being a prototype, it has been mentioned that the grenade fulfills its function

Rc Scanning Gate

Rc Scan Gate: An Rc Scan Gate is a Ghoul Countermeasures Commission security device that is used to measure the level of Rc Cells of any individual who passes through it. Used to detect and identify a Ghoul, so only one should try to enter the security area. These devices are present in buildings owned by the Ghoul Countermeasures Commission and are used to prevent Ghouls from being able to get past the main entrance. These devices are considered too expensive for use in most public and government buildings, making their use limited and only employed by the CCG. Function: The gates resemble a standard metal detector, and work by measuring the Rc Cell levels of the individual stepping through them. When a level is detected within the normal range for a Ghoul (1000 or higher), an alarm is raised and the person is identified as a Ghoul. However, the Ghouls Ken Kaneki and Eto Yoshimura have passed through one without setting off the alarm. Apparently, the gates have the characteristic of exempting some Rc cellular patterns. This feature appears to have been put in place to prevent alarm activation when researchers pass through the doors with their Quinques produced from the Kakuhou, however, Eto claims that this feature is also used to exempt cellular patterns. Rc that belong to Ghouls affiliated with V. And since Ken Kaneki carries Rize's Kakuhou and Eto is Kuzen's daughter, both formerly related to V, they were able to pass undetected through the doors

Anteiku

Anteiku: Anteiku is a pacifist Ghoul organization that has an alibi as a coffee shop, serving both Ghouls and humans. The only thing they sell is coffee, since it is one of the only foods that ghouls can consume in the same way as humans. Furthermore, all the workers there are Ghouls, and in exchange for their work in the cafeteria they are given human flesh from suicide victims. Anteiku is actually the entire building, and on the ground floor there is a staircase that leads to the second floor, where the cafeteria is, and on the next levels are the rooms of Touka, Hinami, the manager and the office. this. On another floor is the cellar or "freezer" where they keep the corpses and the meat that they give to the ghouls who need it, and it is on the first sub-level.

Due to its influence, District 20 is considered docile compared to other Districts, and has been neglected by the CCG. By tacit agreement, the Ghouls refrain from hunting humans who are customers of the cafeteria. During Operation Owl Suppression, the cafeteria was destroyed and its remains were rescued. Aogiri tree and structure

Aogiri Tree and structure: The Aogiri Tree was a powerful Ghoul organization of a terrorist nature that usurped power in District 11, targeting the District's Ghoul Investigators. In recent years, combating the organization's growing strength and influence has become one of the GCC's highest priorities. Most members were from District 24, when the organization was first established. Therefore, it is assumed that the leader is from District 24 as well. Following the fall of Anteiku in Operation Owl Suppression, Aogiri expanded his influence and forced Ghouls living within human society to work for them. These Ghouls are responsible for gathering information, or carrying out other minor functions that their human identities make them especially suited to. In case these Ghouls are discovered, Aogiri fully recruits them into his ranks as new soldiers. Structure: The organization was founded by Eto Yoshimura, after she and her small group of ghouls were defeated by the CCG 13 years ago. Regular members taking care of kitchen duties Below Tatara are several executives, powerful Ghouls who serve as organizational captains and lead their own forces. They are responsible for much of the organization's daily management, such as collecting food and overseeing missions. Low-ranking members, who wear regular suits and masks in combat, perform minor tasks such as intelligence gathering, scouting and guarding, and even kitchen work. During the occupation of District 11, numerous weak Ghouls were recruited by the organization and were used for slave labor.

aoigiri tree locations and Power and Influence

Aoigiri Tree Locations and Power and Influence: The Aogiri Tree has several locations under its control, although exact details, such as scale, are currently unknown. Main article: Ru Island Aorigi has taken over Ru Island, an uninhabited island that was fortified during World War II and located in Tokyo Bay, which is used as his current headquarters and operational base. Currently the CCG has determined said island as the headquarters of the Aogiri Tree and has initiated a minor reconnaissance investigation by the Hachikawa Squadron. Main article: District 11 Base There used to be a prominent Aogiri hideout in District 11, under the supervision of Tatara and Noro, and various executives such as Ayato Kirishima, Yamori, and the Bin Brothers. The Base was destroyed following the Battle of District 11, after the CCG was informed of the Base's location by Hide. Miza, an Aogiri executive, is the current leader of District 18, so the District is technically under the jurisdiction of the Aogiri Tree as well. There doesn't seem to be a good amount of Aogiri activities happening in the area. As a ghoul organization, the Aogiri Tree was considerably powerful to the point that all of its standard members are at least B-Class. Additionally, Aogiri also has multiple S-Class or higher ghouls as members, such as: Miza, Naki, Yamori, Shachi, Ayato, the Bin Brothers, Eto, and Takizawa, a further testament to the power of the organization. The influence of this organization has made the CCG make the extermination of Aogiri its highest priority and goal. Following the Tsukiyama Family Extermination Operation, the CCG carried out the successful suppression of Noro, a powerful and influential ghoul of the organization and one of the leaders of Aogiri. For this loss, Aogiri received a powerful blow from the CCG.

White Suits

White Suits: White Suits is a band of ghouls that was part of the Aogiri Tree and currently belongs to Black Goat, named for the different style of clothing worn by the members. Timeline/History: The gang was initially made up of Aogiri's subordinates, although they did not appear to be an official group at the time. In the two years since Yamori's death, Naki has expanded the group from its original three members to a much larger band under his command. The white suits are among those sent to the auction to ensure safety, and charge into battle when the CCG begins its operation.

Under Naki's leadership, the group quickly gains the upper hand in battle, before being confronted by Akira Mado. Mado manages to wound Naki but Gagi and Guge throw themselves in front of the researcher's bullets when they try to kill him. This causes Naki and the other white suits to fight with renewed vigor, taking down numerous investigators.

After the death of Gagi and Guge, Dr. Akihiro Kanou, under the protection of the Aogiri Tree, swore to Naki to revive Gagi and Guge and make them stronger and more resistant, experimenting with the Kakuhou and other parts of these Ghouls in an effort to obtain One-eyed ghouls. Trivia: Except for Gagi and Guge, all members have been shown to break their specific fingers in the same way as Yamori. This characteristic was adopted by Yamori after being tortured by the ghoul investigator, Goumasa Tokage, who was originally the one who snapped his fingers while interrogating his victims.

Three Leaf Band

Three Leaf Gang: The Three Leaf Gang is a band of dwarf Ghouls who live underground to get away from human society. They deepen their family ties by practicing consanguineous marriage. They rivaled the Bin brothers and after their death they joined the Aogiri Tree. It is led by Miza. They wear different masks and claim that District 18 is their territory. Members: Miza - Leader Mitsushita (Deceased) Timeline/History: Auction They fought alongside the White Suits during the Auction Cleanup Operation and both gangs suffered heavy losses caused by the fighter squad led by Akira Mado. Raid to Ru Island It was the group in charge of defending the island from the beach and several members were killed by the CCG advance members. Curiosities: Miza assumed leadership of the band at the age of 18, making her the youngest in the history of the clan to assume leadership. This is because most of the veterans at that time were killed. Their leader, Miza, once had a rivalry with the Bin Brothers.

Grupo de Kaneki

Kaneki's Group: Kaneki's Group, also known as "Kaneki Kru" is made up of many Ghouls who cooperate to help Ken Kaneki achieve his various personal goals. Kaneki's main goal is to protect his friends and those who are important to him. Therefore, after he was kidnapped by Aogiri Tree and tortured by Yamori, he resolved to "Select" the people who he considers evil or who threaten his friends, to eliminate them. This group also has direct enmity towards Aogiri, making standing against them a major priority. The group shared an apartment paid for by Tsukiyama, however he did not live with them, because Kaneki did not allow it. In fact, every time Shuu suggested to Kaneki that if he lived with them it would be simpler, he changed the subject or I simply ignored him. The first to join the group was Banjou, offering himself as a "shield" for Kaneki, then once he joined, Sante, Jiro and Ichimi decided to do so, although for a few moments they thought they might get in Kaneki's way. Tsukiyama eventually joins in, offering himself as a "sword", although Kaneki threatens him by saying "If you do just one thing that makes me doubt you, I will kill you." Then please measure yourself.” It is believed that since Yoshimura intended to get Hinami out of District 20, this was a perfect opportunity, joining Kaneki's group, which was very useful due to his very good senses.

Ken Kaneki: He lived under the identity of Ghoul Investigator Haise Sasaki as a result of amnesia. Hinami Fueguchi-he joined the Aogiri tree to become stronger. Shuu Tsukiyama: fell into a depression that lasted several years. Kazuichi Banjou: Took command of Ward 6 as its new leader and amassed a large following.

The group was also called; "The Patched Eye Ghoul Group", "The District 20 Cannibal Group". This group was feared by regular ghouls, mostly due to their reputation as cannibals.
