TOKYO GHOUL:
The world is overrun by human-like beings called Ghouls, bloodthirsty and brutal creatures with a peculiar anatomy, different from humans. Ghouls possess a body part called a Kagune, which has four types: Rinkaku, Bikaku, Ukaku, and Koukaku.
Each ghoul possesses one of these types of kagune, with different shapes depending on the ghoul's creativity and RC cells. In rare cases, ghouls can inherit a chimera kagune from their parents, potentially obtaining more than one type of kagune. A few ghouls manage to reach the greater potential of their kagunes, becoming a kakuja or a half-kakuja when there is a lack of RC cells, which are obtained through cannibalism of other ghouls. Kakujas are formed according to the amount of RC cells a ghoul possesses, as well as their traumas, mental state, personality, and imagination. Ghouls are classified from C (weakest) to SSS (strongest).
A ghoul's classification is assigned based on strength, activity, and influence.

The CCG's role is to keep the population safe and combat Ghouls, eradicating them from the face of the earth. Their combat equipment consists of Quinques made from Ghoul Kagunes, created from models specific to the Kagune types, and Aratas, also produced by a specific Ghoul, Arata Kirishima. These Quinques provide superhuman speed and defense for investigators with special training. Prolonged use causes enormous physical strain and can even take the user's life, as they are made from Kagune, meaning the user can be devoured by their own Arata if they are not careful. Investigator classifications range from Tank 3 (weakest) to Special Class Investigator, being either a soldier or commander.
