In one hand she carried a torch, its flame pale and steady, burning without heat—shadows dancing around it like memories of the dark. She stepped fully onto the grass, barefoot, and the crack sealed behind her with a sigh, leaving only a faint circle of new green shoots.

The last frost had come and gone, winter had past and it was time to welcome spring. So why hadn't the flowers begun to bloom. The hills were still barren and if it weren't for the rising temperature, it still looked like winter. Then a flash of light and beautiful, and frustrated, woman stood in the middle of the once barren field. A warmth radiated off of her, bringing the hills to life with thick grass. Wild flowers sprouted where ever she walked, which currently seemed more like pacing. I swear! He never stops talking... He explained, with a heavy high. And I thought Zeus had an ego. She dusted off her dress and glanced around as the country side was slowly brought into Springtime. Making me late... I was supposed to be here hours ago. Even annoyed, her voice was beautiful. With a sigh, she smiled brightly basking in the sunlight. Oh how I've missed this! She could have gone to Elysium, but nothing compared to Earth. Strolling down the dirt road with graceful steps.
