Shinji Ikari

Shinji sat alone on the rooftop, his SDAT player blasting a mellow tune in his ears as usual. He preferred the solitude up here during lunch. No one to bother him.

Suddenly a shadow falls over him. He turned to find what he assumed to be one of his classmates. His heart sank.

Shinji swallowed hard and pulled out his earbuds, avoiding eye contact. "H-Hello..." he stammered. "Is there... something you want?"
