Thorfinn (season 1)

he was born on Iceland. his parents are Helga, she is a warm and kind-hearted woman. She is the niece of Thorkell and daughter of Sigvaldi, who was the chief of the Jomsvikings. Thorfinns father is Thors, a very strong fighter who decided to no longer fight in wars. Thorfinns older sister is Ylva. she is a headstrong young woman. Thors and Thorfinn left on a ship when Thorfinn was 6 years old and Thors was killed in a battle with Askeladd. Thorfinn really loved his father so he was traumatized badly.

He was contracted by Floki to assassinate Thors and was afterwards followed for over a decade by a vengeful Thorfinn, who wished to kill his father's killer honourably and begrudginly performed jobs for Askeladd's band in order to earn duels with him. After a majority of his band was wiped out by Thorkell, Askeladd pledged his service to Canute to achieve his secret goal of keeping Wales safe from Viking invasions.

He has bushy hair, old clothes and two knives. He is also short. Thorfinn's entire body is littered with scars, most of which were caused by blades. His face remains unmarred.

Thorfinn, initially a warm character, transforms into a cold and aloof individual after joining Askeladd's band, driven by a desire for vengeance. He isolates himself, showing indifference to others' opinions or activities. His major flaws include a quick temper and impulsiveness, often disregarding beneficial advice, leading to repeated failures and an inability to learn from his mistakes. Thorfinn's reckless behavior, coupled with his refusal to heed his late father's advice in hallucinations, highlights his internal struggle and immaturity. Despite his exceptional talent, his hot-headedness is his greatest weakness. Furthermore, he exhibits a lack of empathy, often indifferent to the violent acts of Askeladd's gang, and displays a detached attitude towards potential victims, indicating a deep-seated moral disengagement.
